*NOTE* In Story 1 we definitely missed/didn't clue into OP's point #2. THIS IS SA 1000%! She needs to leave his A$$ and maybe press charges! Apologies for not catching it in the episode but listening back we realized we missed this!

@beepboop8374 Жыл бұрын
I came here to say this. Her saying “Stop” and him “slowing down” instead of stopping is 1000% SA, as well as forcing his own s*xual desires and gratification onto her and not listening to hers, trying to manipulate her into believing she doesn’t know what she really likes when she is very plainly telling him what she likes, trying to coerce her into doing things she is uncomfortable with by pouting whenever she is saying she doesn’t want to do things he wants, etc. Thank you for correcting that! His behavior is intentional and dangerous. Being in a relationship and loving someone does NOT give them agency over your body or your comfort, and if you say stop and they do not stop it is ALWAYS wrong. I hope OP feels safe to talk to her therapist about this specifically and has a good therapist that can help her with this.

S1: I found it kinda concerning that op had to tell him stop more than once. If anyone tells you to stop it doesn’t mean slow down, it means stop. I don’t always go to breakup but op should breakup with him because I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I survived sa and my current partner wouldn’t stop when I told them.

@sachikochan86947 ай бұрын
Agreed. If you were dating someone and one day he just ran away for months and then showed back up to find you dating a new person, there's no way he should be allowed to accuse you of cheating. There's an implication that there was a break up after such a long period of time even if it was not explicitly said. It's like when a couple lives together for a certain period of time, they're considered married in areas with common law marriage even though there was no official marriage certificate.

First story I was wanting to yell, he is sexually selfish. It's not misalignment it's a him issue. He wants her to explore more, but she says what she likes and he doesn't do it, defaulting to what turns him on to do in foreplay. He doesn't consider how sensitive she is so he mashes the vibrator in because that turns him on. She asks him to stop because it hurts and he keeps going! He pounds away during sex knowing from past sex it can hurt, this is a routine issue, meaning she has told him, he has disregarded and he puts what turns him on highest. And when he doesn't get his way he puts the blame on her, be more adventurous (e.g. like the things I want, and stop asking for the things you want that I don't want to do), or pouts so he makes it about his feelings and her the bad guy. I think this would be part of a bigger issue, there is no way he just manipulates in the bedroom with emotion, there is no way he consistently puts his needs first and disregards hers only in the bedroom. Couples counselling can help but really chances are with manipulative selfish traits they snap back like a rubber band under stress, I hope that OP leaves.

S1: as someone who has done Corn videos, that's very different from the type of things I would normally do in bed. Corn demands very awkward angels to "look good" when it's filmed. I know some corn creators have a hard time switching from corn to just intimate. And I can imagine if all one consumes is corn, the bed time will reflect what they believe to be hot, cuz the ppl in the videos are "having a good time totally not getting paid to make it look good"

S2: I understand how OP feels, although she didn't cheat it still sucks to have anyone accuse you of it and it's even worse when they go spreading that rumour around. When I broke up with my ex, we agreed to remain friends and both started seeing new people after a couple of months. We didn't see each other in person until 3 months after the breakup when we decided to platonically hang out. He came to visit me and he told me all about the girls he was seeing and I was happy for him, I was glad to see him moving on. Then I mentioned that I'd been on a few dates with one guy too, and he exploded at me, started punching me in the head, screamed that I was a cheater, and then told everyone we knew that I had cheated on him. But he didn't tell the whole story, he leaves out the part that he was seeing other people too and tried to make it seem like we weren't actually really broken up, even though we 100% were (moved out of our shared apartment, went weeks without talking occasionally, it was even an amicable break up and we both calmly had agreed to it) 😒 He says that him dating other people too is "irrelevant to the situation" so he shouldn't have to mention it. So I understand how shitty OP feels, it's horrible to have other people treat you as a cheater when in reality that accusation was born out of unfounded jealousy and not any actual wrongdoing. It made perfect sense of OP to assume that the relationship was over when they hadn't spoken in 5 months and he was the one to initiate the ghosting. I don't understand people who think that they have the right to break up with someone, ghost them, date other people, etc and expect their ex-partner to remain loyal to them for god knows how many months without communication.

For story 2: Yes, it’s weird that he didn’t contact OP and he’s a massive AH for that. But arguably, she ghosted him first. She could’ve given him a week and been like “okay, I gave you a chance to initiate, you didn’t, so I’m done”. He’s definitely an AH and I don’t blame OP for moving on after five months, but she did ghost and failed to properly end it. Both just seem immature
@beepboop8374 Жыл бұрын
Idk it sounds like she was trying to get him to talk to her, spend time with her, anything and he was already pretty checked out. She should have had to beg for him to have any form of contact with her to begin with. And clearly that was the case when, after she stopped putting in the effort to speak to him, they didn’t speak at all for 3 solid months. I get that her saying “we’re done” could have made things a lot clearer but if I had been her I would have assumed he was no longer interested in a relationship as well, considering how she had already been asking for him to show interest for so long and he wasn’t and then when she stopped reaching out he didn’t either. It seems like he wouldn’t even have said anything to her when he did if it weren’t for finding out she was in a new relationship.

Seems like he ghosted first. He wouldn't contact her, and she got tired of chasing after him.

I don't think you can call "stopping initiating all conversations" ghosting. It gets tiring being the one trying all the time when the other obviously doesn't give a damn about you. She didn't ghost him, she just stopped trying.
@IAmContemporary Жыл бұрын
@@beepboop8374 Oh yeah I totally agree! I probably would’ve drawn the same conclusion and proceeded the same way. It just seems immature to me that the “I’m gonna test him to see if he initiates” approach wasn’t followed by communicating the outcome of the test. I’m assuming her thought process was “if he doesn’t contact me, the consequence will be that I break up with him”. Then she tested him and just never informed him of the consequences. The dude is an AH either way, no doubt. But in the end it does boil down to her having a problem with their relationship dynamics, deciding that she’s going to test him by ghosting him and then single-handedly drawing the conclusion that it must be over. If you can’t have conversations about stuff like that and you can’t properly end a relationship, you might not be ready to be in one in the first place.
@IAmContemporary Жыл бұрын
@@claravignaud8119 I agree, but then just communicate that? Give it a week and then say “you know what, it’s always up to me, I’m done”. Easy as that. How long was she planning to ‘test’ him for? Three months? Usually you communicate the results at the end of a test, if for nothing else but to give yourself closure.
