If you don't mind, I'm curious what kind of degree you have. At this rate, I will probably have a communication and english double major when I go to work in japan il have to teach English to start probably although I'm thinking of dropping the English part because it's not required to teach english I ultimately want to work in marketing in japan . If I drop the english I can do a full year study abroad in japan which I think may be more fun and better on a resume

I would feel like I did not see enough of Osaka if I took this trip. Yeah, you saw some famous people on the bus, but as far as Osaka goes, you saw Nakatsu and Amemura. At a minimum this tour needs more local snacks, but really it needs a third location.

@@TokuyuuTV I was thrilled to have a free moment when I saw it go up 😅👍. Inspired to begin studying in a more useful manner ✊😊. I got caught in a cycle of using the same phrases to get by and my phone anticipates Japanese text now so I rarely have to type anything out anymore. Both bad for progress but a year of casually taking in content and reading notifications aloud is sure to be of some value. I'll be looking forward to more videos!

Tokuyuu sensei, I have a question regarding my studies. Due to immense pressure from my exams, I’ve had my tonsils infected three times, which has affected my ability to study. Despite this, I managed to maintain a 192-day study streak, but now I have many reviews stacked up. I am currently studying different decks ranging from N5 to N2 for vocabulary and kanji. I have a solid understanding of the N5 and N4 levels in both vocab and kanji, but the N3 vocabulary deck is overwhelming. I’ve studied more new cards than I’ve reviewed, so I still have about 70% of the cards to review. Adding to my problems, I also started studying for N2, which has increased the pressure. I’m overwhelmed by the amount of material I need to study each day. My N3 kanji deck is particularly troublesome because I started new cards and reviewed only the previous three days’ kanji. I didn’t review them in Anki, resulting in many unreviewed cards. Should I stop studying the new N2 deck and focus on the older decks? What should I do with my N5 and N4 decks, which I’ve been reviewing for a long time? Will I have to keep reviewing them forever? Additionally, I made the mistake of focusing so much on vocabulary and kanji that I neglected grammar. As a result, I struggle to understand sentences. I recently bought Tae Kim’s grammar book and both the Dictionary of Basic and Intermediate Japanese Grammar. I feel lost and unsure of how to proceed. How should I structure my studies moving forward, and what grammar books should I study later? Please help me, Sensei. I am in a very tight spot and worried that if I make more wrong decisions, I will fall behind like many other students. By the way, I got a new Japanese name: 霊青山, which I read as れいあおやま. What do you think of this name? I currently study Japanese for about 1.5 hours a day. Please guide me. I want to pass N1. Do you think I can achieve that one day? Please wish for me so I don’t fail like the 90% of Japanese students.
@TokuyuuTV
@TokuyuuTV 5 ай бұрын
heyy, it seems like you’re under a lot of pressure. All the study material stacking up can definitely feel overwhelming. I would definitely recommend getting rid of N2 for now and focus on N3, since that seems like just the right level to challenge you. If you’re totally comfortable with the N4/N5 vocab, you can take those out too. But if you’re using anki, they should disappear for a long time if you get the answer right every time. I think it’s good you’re focusing on grammar, it’s definitely the key to building your understanding of the language! I’ll finish by saying you’re absolutely capable of passing N1. You’re doing amazing work by having such a long study streak and studying 1.5 hours every day. Just be sure to pace yourself correctly - you are only gonna confuse yourself if you try to do too much too fast (like doing N2 vocab before you’re comfortable with N3 vocab). Wishing you the best of luck on your journey!! 🥳
