Great vid, Tara. I am extremely fortunate to live in a gorgeous home on lush acreage with an awesome view across the Logan River valley. I've often thought, once kids depart, that the property would make an excellent writers' retreat. I watched your latest vid with interest. Well done. Kepp up the good fight - both writing and vidding.

Thanks, Rob! I appreciate the encouragement. I am also mildly jealous of your view! Best of luck with your writing :-)

There really is a special kind of magic that happens on writing retreats, when and if you can make that happen for yourself. I'm going on another one in four weeks time and I cannot wait!

This was really useful to here. I’m not exactly going on a group writing retreat, but I’m going away to Italy for a week where I fully intent to write, read and walk. Good to hear how you structured so I can let my husband know lol 😂

One of the things I miss are the Usenet Newsgroups. They had these for all interests, kind of like what Reddit is today without the ads. You could also tell people what you really thought, with no censorship. And so you wrote and “chit-chat” at the same time. Even your chatting was fodder for criticism by the other members. I found myself making friends-and I think the freedom the forum provided was instrumental in getting members to open up with their writing. I’m not going to write anything untoward on your site, but the fact that I can’t might limit my ability to think freely and thus write something that’s worth reading. Your comments?
