Can UK's worst become a series please?! That would be hilarious. Watching you go to things like restaurants, cinemas, and coastal towns etc. I've been to Skegness a few times, I'd agree that it's not that bad... But not that good either.

From someone the lives in Skeg, it does annoy me a bit how it's voted the worst consistently. People i've met are lovely, and i wouldnt call it dirty. It does really need funding, it has pretty much stayed the same in the 20 years i can remember it. There is also no growth in the town, barely any new jobs or buildings/homes being made. Just new caravan parks so it keeps getting busier without actually ''growing'' as a town. I think it has something to do with people coming like once a year in peak season, when its super busy. Then yes, there probably is trash around and probably dont have the best time when its packed. Ie easter or summer weekends are the worst! Its mental! Once took me and my dad 2 hours to get to B&Q and back on easter weekend xD I really wish people visiting Skeg would clean up after themselves a bit, especially the beach, but hey, thats most beaches. Also the sea can be a brown colour because of sediment drift, people i imagine just think its muck and very dirty, but it cant be helped. For me i love the 2 mins walk to the sea and going down early in the morning and most of the time be the only one on the beach or a couple of dog walkers. Its really not the worst seaside town out there. Skeggy needs some work though, that is for certain. I dont see much changing anytime soon though, sadly.

I live in Lincolnshire and go to skeggy often. I will never understand why it has got such a bad reputation its a wonderful seaside town in my opinion. I used to live in southend and how that isnt rated one of the worst is beyond me.

It really depends what you wnat from a holiday, Skeg has plenty of amusements and rides, an aquarium and a lovely beach. It also has NATURELAND on the front which has seals, animals butterflies, reptiles and an aquarium, there is also a small theatre on the front and an outdoor waterpark where they have inflatables and jetskis and a little train. What never gets mentioned is that there is a nature reserve called GIBROLTA POINT where Lincolnshire wildlife trust have a visitor centre, this is a very quiet area where you can observe birds or go for walks. There is also a small museum in Skegness and a Stadium. If you want a small quiet resort there are plenty of smaller places on the Lincolnshire coast such as Sutton On Sea.

The pier used to go out to sea. It was destroyed in a storm in the 70's.

Great video again. I’ve actually been to Skegness, and I don’t think it was that bad. The beach away from the tourist stretch is actually lovely for the UK. Cleethorpes is much worse if you want a terrible place to visit.

@@EdChapman23 As a lincolnshire lad Skeg is not so bad for a seaside town. I often go there for good days out. The truth is if you want to go to the one that is seriously the most tinpot, go to north wales and visit Rhyl. It's simply a ran down mess

Cleethorpes is lovely. Grew up in Grimsby so have an affinity for the place spending a lot of my childhood there but even when I go back now I enjoy my visits. A shadow of what it used to be, sure, but the area around the boating lake is beautiful, some great beaches and the best fish & chips in the country (Steels!). Lovely people too and a great night out if you fancy a couple beers :)

I use to live in Skeggy, its ok during the summer, but winter is horribly dead. No jobs there during winter. Best thing I liked there was amusements (being only thing to do you lose all your money), the one bar was ok (till is got burnt down for the insurance), and Farmfoods 3 for a tenner meat selection lol

If folks think Skegvegas is bad they should go to Rhyl and they will soon change there mind the pier used to be longer but it fell in the sea years ago. Like all British seaside resorts it is what it is most haven't really changed in the last 50 years but you can still go there and enjoy your day out and that's what it's all about.

Came on here to say Rhyl is a lot worse too, we went for a day earlier this year and stayed for about an hour it was awful!! Skeggy is roundly fine in comparison.

Tbf I don’t mind skegness that much, yes it does have a few rough areas and rough people, nighttime it can become dodgy, but when the suns out, middle of summer, if you want a UK day out at the beach with lots of attractions around it’s good 👍🏻

I've been to Skeggy and Ingoldmells (near Skeggy) and the only things I can complain about are the sea is literally coloured with SHIT and gosh those donuts at Skeggy really give my belly a hard time.

It's lacking in charm. Most seaside towns have a quaint harbour or old town and then a tacky bit for the amusement arcades. Skegness just has the arcades.

We stayed at The Royal for a short break, it was sad to see what was clearly once a luxurious hotel suffering from income problems. But it was clean and we enjoyed our stay. In fact it was almost a bonus to stay somewhere where you could still see many of the luxurious details of the place for a much lower price than back in it's hey day. We later had friends who lived close so visited a few times. I feel that Skegness isn't too bad at all. I would rather go there than some other places I won't mention. But it's in a catch 22 situation. To get more visitors it needs some money spending on it. But to get the money it needs to do that it needs more visitors. I hope at least this video made you the £12 pedlo expenses back!

I live in Lincs but I’ve only been to Skeg once or twice and that was purely to visit the seal sanctuary lol, it’s actually quite nice there 😊I am just not a fan of seaside towns anywhere, I don’t think Skeg is really any better or worse. Apart from Scarborough. That might be the worst place on earth I’ve ever been to.
