My Begonia Maculata almost died from lack of sunlight since I thought I was giving it enough light but wasn't. 😅 It's perking up now though thankfully! Prayer plants do REALLY well here I got some in the past months and I water very sparingly and have no humidifier or anything and they out out so much new growth it's really impressive and they look beautiful! 😍 I wish I had plant swaps here but I haven't heard of any. 😧

I went to a plant swap on Saturday where the trades were pretty much a free for all. So I brought 12 plants/cuttings and I got to take whatever 12 plants I wanted, without making direct trades. It was very stress free and I actually preferred it to negotiating trades! Everyone first got to pick one plant they wanted, then after everyone picked one plant we all got to pick whatever other plants we wanted. I brought some rare plants and I wasn’t mad that I wasn’t making direct trades of “equal” value. I actually prefer this free for all style over bargaining! Especially since I wasn’t forced to talk to others, I felt much more comfortable and ready to build friendships 💚 what are your thoughts on this style? Would you go to a swap set up like that? Would you still bring uncommon plant varieties?

That definitely sounds like it could be stress free! I’m really glad you enjoyed that style of plant swap. I don’t think I would enjoy that style of plant swap because I like knowing who the plants are going to and hearing more of the history of the plants I’m getting. All of the interaction is definitely uncomfortable at first, but it gets easier the more you go to. I’m not always concerned with trades being “equal” value either, I would just prefer to walk away with things I don’t already have if I can!
