The sound of the 366 struggling and gear whine brings back all the memories of riding the bus when I was a kid. Back when a bus driver could drive stick and beat the kids at the same time.

Nick- I really think you’re doing it right!! Glad to see you using some older equipment that’s in good shape, and well maintained. I watch some of these other creators with new equipment and it’s JUNK. Expensive JUNK they don’t even own. You are making some great progress, great growth and I hope it’s ultimately putting more profits in your pocket.

What a great old truck, I grew up hauling grain and silage with one of those in MB when I was a kid. A couple tips, don't over fill the oil or that 366 will lifter tick like a bastard and don't lug the engine, they don't like that... Nothing they build now will be around in 40 years!

A 366 with 5+2 was the typical grain truck unless you had an International Loadstar with 345 and 2 speed rear. Mid 80's farmers started using R model Macks with aluminium dumps because the combine capacity was at the point gravity wagons couldn't get it away from the machine fast enough. Also grain carts came into vogue and every feller thought he needed one😊.AL B.

Our 2955 had a bad o ring in the rear end. We put a camera through the hydrolic oil fill and you could see it pissing oil out. Cab had to come off and rock shaft housing.

Tie into the main pump inlet pressure port and measure charge pressure from the transmission pump. Probably has bad pressure tubes that carry oil from the transmission pump to the filter and back the shift cover. The shift cover is a manifold that sends oil to the PTO and hi/lo and then on to the main hydraulic pump inlet. I’m thinking you have zero pressure even at 2000 rpm. More than likely you’ll be splitting it between the clutch housing and transmission. Every Mannheim tractor eventually needs the low pressure lines fixed at some point of its life. Rarely is the radial piston pump the issue!
@johnst1410 ай бұрын
This is definitely the issue. Split it there like he said and you'll find what you're looking for

I believe the front pump is fed from the trans pump. Drain the oil in the trans and pull the screen and see if it’s full of crap. Usually what’s in the case is debree from clutch packs or brake disks. All the front mounted pumps need oil supplied to them , they can’t suck oil in.
@SouthSaskFarmer111 ай бұрын
Did that
@bcooper735211 ай бұрын
You should be able to put a gauge in the front pump to see if and how much charge oil it’s receiving.
@eddiereichel935411 ай бұрын
By the problem you described with the 2 speed and fuel pump I'd be looking for something missing ground. If it's missing on something it finds a path through something else.
