I WENT to BRITAIN'S WORST TOWN to an ALL YOU CAN EAT Chinese Buffet and was SHOCKED!

This town needs to be boarded up and left to rot. All the people have fled the town and left it rack and ruin. The only place I could find was this All You Can Eat Chinese Buffet Restaurant. Is this Buffet the town's best asset and is it worth risking visiting this crime troubled town to sample the food here? Let's find out...

A buffet is totally against the essence of Chinese food, which is cooked hot and fast. Leaving it in heated trays for a long time and a lot of the flavour and goodness is gone. Also perhaps it's mostly a Northern thing to have chips with everything, even in a Chinese and then to mix rice and noodles and potatoes, much like pasta and chips.

Many city centres are becoming g ghost towns , generally the fault of local councils pushing through 10 years out of date traffic measures ie LEZs where current pollution levels way under limits . Aberdeen which had an iconic all granite main St has virtually banned all cars from centre as well as LEZ non- compliant vehicles . Footfall now down by over half a million , local feeders closing down .all down to incompetence of city councils , of all political persuasions

Mansfield and all of the surrounding area has never been the same since the pit, ( mining industry ) closed down. Overnight, thousands of miners lost their jobs and the money they earned, that would have been spent in the local area economy was'nt there any more. It was not just miners that lost their jobs but also shops, cafes, leisure centres and other industries that relied on the mining industry also closed down in the knock on effects of the pit closures. To this day the area has never recovered and probably never will.

I remember Mansfield being a bustling market town, it was a Saturday outing. Four Seasons centre, fresh fruit and veg from the market. Kiddies had a ride near the Bentinck Memorial and we finished off with cockles and mushy peas from the stall near The Ram. A sad demise.😢 Glad I live in the Highlands now. Nice looking place. Great vlog as always.

I do love a Chinese buffett. When i was working in Canada in 96, the guys i was working with thought i was a bit of awuss because i did`nt go out beering it up every night. But, when it came to the infamous "Mandarin Chinese Buffett", one of our guys, a 6ft+ rugby player held the record of 7 platefuls. I knew i had a big appetite, so made a point of having 8 platefuls and held the record till our contract out there finished. I felt absolutely stuffed to the point of feeling very uncomfortable for the night, BUT, i had the great pleasure of being our groups man for eating. Great vid Lee, and yes, Mansfield does look like it`s seen better days, which is a shame because it looks like it has some lovely old buildings.

I tell you what happened to Mansfield.. House prices!!! And every other town that has closed premises. Back in the 90's Mansfield was banging, every pub solid on a Friday night but houses then cost £43k... £100k more now for same house. Young kids in their 20's have it rough.

Council have destroyed the town, used to love going when I was little now I probably go a handful of times a year. If you want to try a proper Chinese buffet head to Golden Phoenix in Nottingham nextdoor to Oxclose Police Station, so much better.

Yeah it looked quite good but no atmosphere, it would cost me £30 for the two of us plus drinks so not cheap when you can get a Chinese takeaway meal for two from M&S for £12, it's delicious and there's more than enough in the box for two and you can sit in the comfort of your own home eating it while watching your favourite KZbinrs on the TV.

These all you can eat menus allow the customer 90 minutes before they will stop the person as some people could eat in there all day for the price they charge. There was a place near where I live and they did an all you can eat menu and they only allowed people 90 minutes before they stopped them or made them pay another £15 to continue eating. They could be using Guar gum in the recipes as that makes the person full whilst eating very little food.

Yup and mostly sell fizzy pop to bloat you out. This meal put would be toxoc chemical overload. Guar gum, MSG, cooked in toxic seed oils and washed down with phosphoric acid. Yum. Not.
