Its really beautiful how in Norway on the constitution day they have children parade from each school in each city and town. Not military parade like in many other countries.

That was a very big difference! Almost every parade I have been to is filled with lights and sirens from police, firefighters, etc. And you leave with a headache from the constant whailing. @@bafattvahetere Seriously, no, Oslo has a lot to offer, culture and history. Don't be so narrowminded. Museums, architecture, shows, music, food and drink. I'm not from Oslo, but I know the city. People outside Oslo ignore that foreign tourists actually like to visit cities. They come to Norway for many reasons, not just our landscapes. Look it up, the research is clear. It's normal for rural people to dislike the capital city though, that goes for all countries, but it's an important part of the country.

I plan to visit much more of Norway in the future and know I'll for sure go to Bergen and Trondheim but I also want to enjoy and spend time everywhere in between too. This was definitely the first of many. I live in a fairly rural area where we still have have a large Amish community that use Horse & buggy. Cars, tractors and a horse & buggy is my normal every day traffic 🤣 I don't usually go to larger cities but do very much enjoy going to a new "big" city as there is so much to do and so many differences from city to city. There will be future travel & videos that are more remote and rural as I continue this journey. Thanks for watching & commenting and have a great day!

@@itsmebrysonp If stunning nature is what he wants to see, such as the northern lights, steep gigantic mountains and fjords- then he should go outside the cities in Norway. However if he likes museums, art etc. (typical city stuff) then he should visit the cities. And most of the biggest cities has more than enough to offer. I would anyways recommend other cities than Oslo because as an ex. Bergen/Trondheim/Stavanger each has more personality to it than just being a big european city as Oslo is. 🙂

I lived in Helsingborg from the mid 70s, until I moved to Scotland in 2002. Here's some trivia for you. When the train, ferry and buss terminal was built in the beginning of the 90s, they decided to built a an offshoot of the railway towards Denmark for the eventuality of a railway tunnel towards Helsingör. I was there when it was built and we planted all the trees and did the groundworks, like slabs and the cobblestones for the outside of the terminal building. It was a wonderful trip overall and so happy to have been able to realize it. It definitely sets the bar for future travels and can't wait for what the future brings. I hope/ plan to travel the world but I know the Nordic countries will be my favorite and where I spend the most of my time. Thanks for watching & commenting. Have a great day! 🙂

As you probably understood that to truly see scandinavia you need more time 🙂 even tough the countries are smaller they are still so spread, I'm from Norway to see just partly what Norway can offer you would need atleast 2 weeks alone there, then there is Sweden with all its stuff and Denmark too ... But you managed to see a few things atleast, like the park and ofcourse the 17th of may parade (btw good on you to share the ticket !!! you probably made someones day there!!!). Also one thing is the views... the destinations and such, but another thing is to enjoy and taste all the cool food you find around the areas ... and then you need to move around to find those specialities that are in each country.

Absolutely! I learned so much from this trip and will be much more prepared for future trips. Even though I had cut down my original plans a couple times before even going there I was still quite rushed. It was worth every bit though!!! I wanted to do as much as possible in the little amount of time I had since it was my first time ever leaving the U.S.. Future trips I'll be spending more time in an area to get more out of the place than a couple days. I can't wait for what the future holds as I continue my Nordic journey. Thanks for watching & have a great day 🙂

@@itsmebrysonp For Norway, if you like walking or hiking, and plan to return, then I think it would be a perfect opportunity for you to be 5+ days in Jotunheimen, going from hut to hut, or somewhere else hiking - there's so many places - and use at least 1 self served hut or tenting. Fresh water is everywhere - just beware of lemen poo in highlands/tundra areas and avoid smaller ponds there - as well as berries, there's an unspeakable "bond" between all backpacker/hikers when you meet and it transcends nationalities, and this "friluftsliv" is core to the Norwegian national spirit. As well as leaving the place better than how you found it. :) No littering!!! And be prepared!

Seems like you had a great trip! I guess you're very used to driving everywhere, but next time have a try at taking the train. That way you can just sit back and relax and watch the scenery go by and arrive well rested. 🙂Our train network in Europe is much more extensive than in the US. I strongly recommend the Bergen-Oslo scenic train ride (7-8 hours). There's mountains and fjords everywhere around. I went on a round trip there a couple of years ago and it was amazing! Oslo-Myrdal (train), Myrdal-Flåm (train), Flåm-Bergen (boat on the fjords and coast), Bergen-Oslo (train).

Almost every one I have been to is filled with lights and sirens from police, firefighters, etc. And you leave with a headache from the constant whailing. I visited Gothenburg many years ago with my friend. We had similar situation in Aeroseum. No other visitors, just two of us. We also visited Volvo museum and that was cool and fun. We eat out every evening and the food was spectacular. Especially local fish dishes. And if you like art, then Gothenburg Museum of Art is a must. I’ve been three times in Oslo and I love this City. Next time visit Stockholm and Helsinki. And if you are in Helsinki, then take a ferry and visit Tallinn also. Tallinn has very nice and well preserved old town, cool historical museums (in Seaplane Harbour museum you can go inside submarine) and rich heritage.

@MGDLProductions2 жыл бұрын
@@itsmebrysonp Gothenburg is divided i traffic zones and there is only some places in each zone where you can enter from a different zone. In some cases you need to travel 1 kilometer to get to the other side of the road. If you are parked outside of Nordiska Kopaniet (NK) for example and need to get to the opposite side to Natur Kompaniet, It will be a long ride with the car, but only a minute to walk. When you learn this (after perhaps 15-20 years) it is rather easy to travel in the city. Best way is to walk or use the trams, scooters or bikes. By the way at 6.24 if you would walk straight forward to the yellow brick house, you would end up where I live.
