What a sad story. All these things are true, - so many times heard and read. They are unpleasant and disturbing. How can large numbers of men in any country be treated with total disrespect for their lives? Those, who do this do not have any idea of human feelings and empathy. I watch several channels of Russians who’ve fled Russia after the war began & they’ve lost their best & brightest citizens!! He's ethnic Russian but from the Donbas region of Ukraine, not Russia itself. Likely his grandparents were sent there by Stalin to repopulate after he starved the Ukrainian population to death in the 1930s.

Needless to say, serving as a MA at several East European embassies between 1999 & 2010 significantly increased that knowledge.

In wwll, there was a german captured at the battle of the bulge (might have been market garden), by the U.S. airborn believe 101 (might have been 87th). He was sent as a POW to the united states. He stayed after the war. became a U.S. citizen, and joined the military, in that same unit that captured him. He retiredad a senior officer (believe major). That is how you treat your prisoners. So well, they go out of their way to join you. He could have done a lot of thjngs after the war. He faught to jokn the soliders that captured him.

All Ukrainian troops needs to learn trenches triage, the platinum 5 minutes to get a tourniquet on, the golden hour to get to hospital. Without the platinum 5 minutes to get a tourniquet on 5 percent survive, with the platinum 5 minutes 95 percent survived to go to hospital.

They do learn it. That was part of what we were teaching them when I was there in 2021. Hence Ukrainian wounded (& captured Russian wounded) survival rates are far better than those of Russian forces.

@@GARDENER42 not all have, many have been trained in Ukraine I'm not saying all that has been trained in Ukraine haven't learnt this but many might have been missed out.. And many new recruits and ex soldiers that have been recruited might not have had these lessons.

@@denismorgan9742 From what I saw being taught, first aid for major trauma was absolutely hammered home, not just by us but also their own instructors. Certainly at least to the level addressed by the UK's current domestic training of Ukrainian personnel. Way in front of any basic wound management instruction I saw given in the RAF between the mid 70s & Desert Shield (there was a significant improvement from then on).

@@denismorgan9742 They're not 'press ganged' which is a ridiculous claim. I can tell you now you are wrong. ALL those sent to fight are given trauma management training. I've seen it first hand & talked to senior officers who stressed its importance. For an example of a lack of training, see the Russian military.

While they ARE showing, albeit limited, what’s happening in the Ukraine. Perhaps if they showed these, people here would have stronger feelings regarding our involvement and how much we have to gain in the long run by assisting the Ukraine. It’s a human being being human. The phrase heard most often is “cannon fodder”. Thanks to the Ukraine for treating their POWs as more than physical injury but psychological injury as well and abiding by Geneva Convention standards. Slava Ukraine.. (I won’t be surprised if a Nobel prize is in his future)

The commander shot their dog for being afraid and hiding in dugouts. That breaks my heart. God's innocent creatures and suffering so much too. The defenders and so compassionate of God's creatures. This POW seems sad about that. I judge people by the way they treat God's innocent animals. This is the first time I've heard of Russians letting animals stay with them. It seems like most of the Russian troops no are not quite as violent as the Bucha Butchers. Y'all have probably seen the the video of the older man taken prisoner. They walk him up and I guess the commander says oh you're an oldie... the gentleman left. They treated him very decently and humanely. I was glad he surrendered. I hope all Russian troops will surrender or go back home. Glory to the heroes 💙💛💪💪💪
