Making art in MIAMI! My first painting vlog I hope you enjoy!
So I recently took a trip to Miami for a bit, to get away from the midwest winter and here's just the first part of my trip. Going to the beach, making paint palettes, and painting portraits! Not sure how I feel about this style video, but I have a ton of videos I wanna share with you and this is the best way I know how to piece them together! The next part is going to be a bit longer so I hope you don't mind! Make sure to stay tuned and check out the art I made on the trip! I hope you are all staying creative!

Seeing your creative process including self care and frustrations makes me feel better about my creative process. The behind the scenes is the hardest part to learn, I swear! I love the palette tutorial, thirft stores are fabulous for art! I suck at predicting use of supplies so if it's a mix, I don't want to mess up the mix if I have to do it again so I make lots. 😂 🤣 So I get it!! Went to a goodwill years ago in Miami and was amazed at how they organized it to look like a department store. During that time, things were sectioned by brand (certain brands were in a section alone). I had nothing to compare it to because it was the first I went to. Later found out that that wasn't the norm

I love this vlog type, and I'm so excited to see the next part! It's very casual and chill, and I love it when artists bring us through a painting slowly (and seeing some of the other things you are doing while working on it, haha)! And I just want to say, you are way too hard on yourself with the Billie Holiday painting (which I totally get as an artist, haha). Both portraits are beautiful, and I think that the way you render skin tones are so bright and illuminating, and I want to try and figure out how you do it so I can bring that into my own work.
