Hello everyone and welcome to a new video!
I wanted to share with you my recent trip to Paris. I had such a great time! I did a spot of fabric shopping at Marché St Pierre (www.marchesaintpierre.com/) and some vintage shopping at Le Cygne Rose ( / atelier1900 ) and Pompon (pompon-marais.fr/). I visited some highlights like the Saint Chapelle, Notre Dame, Marais, Carette, Le Ciel de Paris... and I ate a lot of good food. I can't wait to put some of this Parisian haul to use, starting with that lace!

I have to say, your French is really good, you have a fantastic accent :) Seeing your videos it makes me want to reconsider my absolute hatred of this city, it reminds me how the churches and monuments and fabric shops are great!

I highly recommend Tissus Reine in front of the Marché St Pierre as well! I found amazing deals on the discount/end of rolls bins outside (like 3 meters of fancy fabric for 5 euros). I'm French and my tiny village was like an hour away by train from Paris so I used to go there every week end from the age of 16! More than 10 years later, I've been living in the UK for 6 years so seeing the city again through your eyes, brought a bit of nostalgia. And the Sainte Chapelle is still one of my favourite places in the world to this day! Also the thick whipped cream on your hot chocolate! 😍😍😍Other places I recommend in the area: there is an archeological museum right under Notre-Dame, which is entirely free - the entrance is a bit hidden and looks like a parking entrance. On the other bank of the river, there is the famous "Shakespeare and Co" bookshop, which looks like a book shop right out of Harry Potter. There is also the Conciergerie not far from here, where Marie-Antoinette was held captive before her death, and they still have one of her dresses displayed there.

Wonderful ❤ thank you for sharing. I was in Paris several year ago but had no idea the fabric store in Montmartre was there! Too busy climbing the Sacré-Cœur 🤦‍♀️ If you come to New Zealand don’t come for the fabric (it’s a bit sad down here) come for the hobbits 🧙😉

Wow I was in Paris at the same time and also went to Marché St. Pierre! I'm a very indecisive fabric shopper so that place was both heaven and hell for me.

It is the first time I meet you on KZbin, and it's "love at first sight". What a charming lovely young woman you are ! I enjoyed very much this little trip in your company, thank you. For the 1rst time in 13 years (I leaved Paris to never return in 2010), you make me wish I go back there for a few days, to purchase some fabrics au marché St Pierre, visit some friends and family I miss, and have a last glance to the places where I lived (5 years in the XIIIe and 20 years in my dear Quartier des Batignolles, between the elegant Parc Monceau and Pigalle), and the places I loved so much : Monet's Gardens in Giverny, the Renoir at the Orsay Museum, the Jardin des Plantes, the Parc Floral of Vincennes, the Luxembourg Gardens... Ah, Nostalgia !...

There is a dress from Voraigh that I want with my whole heart, but I would like to get it there myself. I am hoping this spring to drive down from Norway to go check it out and go to the fabric shops. The ones here are tragic these days. A few years ago I could get anything, to day....nope. It is the worst and I do not like buying online unless I have seen the fabric first hand. Thank you for showing us where you went and I can't wait to see what you make.

I just love that you enable us to the travel and shop vicariously. And seeing your purchases was an added bonus; and your cheeky sense of human.😉 And we're all utterly jealous of being anywhere near that amount of affordable wools! And your french accent is... sigh...delicious.

I went their via Chunnel with family years ago. I live in California even though my entire family lives in Britain. The French and Italian terrain reminds me so much of California terrain. The wonderful part of going to Europe are all the ruins and various buildings that are historical. Here quite different.

Cool video ! You made Paris look so calm and quiet :) I was there a month ago but for work so not the same vibe ^^ Also the first café you showed half way up the Montmartre hill is where I used to go a lot when I lived there ! Although the café is probably different because it was 10 years ago. Still it felt very nostalgic thank you :)

Thank you for this. Paris is on my bucket list, so it was nice to do a virtual visit through your eyes. I did feel a little old however when you showed the history exhibit on the 80s, which was my youth. One of the dresses you showed (the strapless black one), I even wore a version of that to my senior prom in 1987. Oof! It didn’t seem so long ago when I used to say it! Anyway, loved the video, and looking forward to the next one!

Thank you SO much for bringing me back to Paris!! I was there in 2012 in March. I remember going to Montemarte (?) and le Sacred Coeur and I went to the same fabric store you did!! I loved St Chapelle more than Notre Dame, and loved the beautiful tiles on the floor in so many colors! So many memories!!

This made me miss Paris so much!!! I haven't been since before my daughter was born, which is almost 10 years ago now!! It's my absolute favorite city (that I've been to...maybe somewhere new will take its place but I kinda doubt it). Thank you for letting us wander around with you and see all of that beautiful architecture. I could practically taste the crepes!!

Enjoyed the video very much. The captions were not very good with the French place names. Sacre Coeur became ‘soccer’ and ‘Sakura’. Can you edit the captions yourself or are you stuck with whatever KZbin creates for you?
