i didn't get to go to prom because my school decided to make tickets $200 each to afford the fancy aquarium venue an hour's drive away from our rural town, and less than 10 people showed up to the event because most people at my high school were dirt poor and/or couldn't figure out how to get there and back since our parents understandably refused to drive us so far on a weeknight. i'm glad you got a second chance, Faline! even if prom isn't really all it's cracked up to be, everyone deserves at least one night to look hot af. i'm jealous 😭
