Last solds on a PSA 1 are around 3500 USD, so that price tag of 4700 CAD actually makes sense. It goes for around the same price or more as PSA 2's and 3's, since 1's are actually more desirable.

Yeah sometimes PSA 1s go for a lot just cause they are more rare than 2,3 and 4s

its actually pretty difficult getting a psa 1. So it holds a higher premium with niche collectors. Im not surprised seeing a price of 4700 for that grade. Im pretty sure the psa1 pop count is almost the same as the psa 10 pop count for the 1st ed zard

PSA 1 is difficult to acquire. Nowadays they most likely probably wouldn’t grade the card at all due to high volume of card coming in.

I went to a local card show a couple weeks ago and came across some modern and vintage I had been looking for. The seller had his prices listed 60% over market and I pointed it out to him, offered market price, and he declined, insisting to sell at 25% over market. So I walked away...

omg >,< yeah this has happened to me so many times too 😫 I'll even take out my phone and just SHOW THEM the recent market value sales and they'll still decline to lower the price. I don't get it. I find their excuse is always 'well these are in high demand because they're hard to find.' So yeah, I just walk away too :S

PSA 7s and 8s usually sell on EBAY for 6-8k. So i'd personally pay no more than 1k for a PSA one.... but that's just me :)

I haven't been to a legit card show in ages. I did go to one last year that they hold in a local mall one weekend a month and bruh, talk about sketchy. So many of these dudes look like they sell drugs when they're not selling cards, haha. You picked up some nice stuff! Prices seemed a bit high even after converting to USD but at least you got to see them in person and assess accordingly.

Lmaoo oh gosh, yeah I see some pretty sketchy people in the hobby >,< it's a little sad to see, especially when they hide online and try to scam kids and stuff 😡 And yeahh, sometimesss it's worth it I guess to pay a little extra for peace of mind. And ebay sellers are starting to increase their prices and shipping costs to account for the cut that ebay takes :( So finding cards that you can just pay in cash can be a plus for sure.
