tbh this is every bridal salon outside of the typical davids bridal (which is complete crap for anything other than bridesmaid dresses). In my dress fitting I had a tiny russian woman telling me I looked giant in the dress I sort of liked and stared at me for a very long 2 minutes and then told another woman to get a specific dress.. Turns out it was the one! While you may think you know what you like, these men and women have been in this business for decades and chances are they've seen hundreds of other people shaped just like you and they know right where something should hit on your body to look perfect.

I actually got mine from David's bridal in Canada, and they were sooo nice to me and my party. I'm a bigger girl with lower self-esteem and the dress expert I was paired with was so sweet and helped me feel beautiful and comfortable. The other stores I went to scoffed at my size and budget, so I went with the one that genuinely wanted to make sure I looked good and felt good.

+Graphic Design Guy The profit margin on wedding dresses is quite high but there's also a ton more work that goes into making them. Dealing with fine, delicate fabrics requires skill and a lot of time. The people that make wedding gowns are trained and have years of experience and some of that is reflected in the price. As a fashion designer, I know how often people can underestimate the quality and effort put into special pieces.
