I spent 2 months in tokyo and climbed at ogi often. I managed to climb a handful of light blue tapes and one orange tape which was my style ( heinous compy slab )... after 3 sessions projecting. After coming back to the states commercial climbing felt like a joke difficulty wise.

I managed a few orange tapes and I felt like the ones I was able to do were more outdoorish, I feel like most commercial gyms in Japan really learn towards comp heavy dyamic and compression moves. It does benefit me in general but I wish routesetting was more balanced between outdoor and indoor inspirations.
