Dude I met you that day and you gave me some very helpful tips since it was my first time ever climbing. Good luck on your journey and keep up the great content!

Thanks! It was great meeting you too, hopefully we meet again :) and yeah I am slowly improving on the content !

Thanks for doing this! There are a few B-pump videos out there but none like this where it feels like you personally walking the viewer through the gym and showing them.

My pleasure! I plan to visit the Yokohama branch next week so I hope u are looking forward to that :) There are also the 2 lead PUMP gyms but I have no lead climbing partner in Japan >< There was a branch in Osaka but it closed permanently due to covid. PUMP also had a young climbers academy too at one point :)

I think I missed you by just a day, but I also tried that red boulder (7:55) and purple boulder (12:00). Hard but good fun trying them :)

Oh damn haha, I would definitely want to come to this gym again soon for sure I enjoyed it

I will also mention that as someone that does climb outdoors more often, it is not my style. I do prefer the local gyms I have been to

I was there that day (see a few familiar faces)! Especially love this gym when they set comp boulders on the second floor! I'm not good at climbing, but I personally think Ogikubo's white tags and harder are more difficult than Akiba, so it was interesting to hear your thought on the grading between the two! Hope you had fun time at the gym! Cheers!

Yeah I definitely did, I have a lot to say about Japanese grading. I happened to meet the guy who invented the system, he used to run T-WALL (now Base Camp) Higashumurayama as well:) I find it better to view grading as nothing more than a scale and gyms as "dojos"; Japanese gyms are very wild west when it comes to interpretation of the Japanese grading system.

Hard Gym! I am planning to go there in the summer... how was communication with the staff / orientation?
@lostinfailure7 ай бұрын
Hey its definitely difficult but not as bad as Ogikubo. As for communication all staff are able to speak some english so no need to worry about that given that the area the gym is in is popular among foreigners. I myself can speak some Japanese enough to understand the staff well :) There is also B-PUMP Yokohama which I am planning to visit in the next 2 weeks as well :) I expect that branch to be foreigner friendly too :) If you are going in the summer, just be aware that it will be very very humid and hot so the 4th floor balcony might be a bit unbearable. From the 27th the outdoor area will be going through rennovation so it will definitely look different and maybe I might make a video after its done :) Hope this info helps, if you need anything I am on insta as well --> @mynamecaseyyy

Just got the So Ill Stay LVs in Taiwan back in March. Pretty good and comfy! I think it doesn't even have a break-in period. Only complaint I have is on the heel but I think that's only because my other shoe is a Mad Rock Shark 2.0 which has good heels.😂
@lostinfailure7 ай бұрын
Yeah I had hands on and its a soft shoe for sure, Fred Nicole is doing great things with the brand since leaving Five Ten. The shark 3.0 I was interested in but I cannot afford to change shoes at the moment. I did think about reaching out to Mad Rock to see if I can get a pair or something to review; I really love their ethos of keeping price point down to make climbing accessible to as many people as possible.

@@lostinfailure planning to get the 3.0s soon too! Hopefully better than the 2.0s which I absolutely love.

From where do you got your music. Do you have a playlist for that video?
@lostinfailure7 ай бұрын
All my music comes from artlist.io :) I have no playlist at the moment but I can add it in the future. If you need something free, there is also uppbeat too.
