So wonderful to learn about it. I am in North America and people have a strange perception of Turkey. People tend to mistake them for Arabs or some sort of intolerant, retrograde society from the past. They ignore the formidable advance of the Turkish industry and the help that they provided to the economic union. Being a Muslim country automatically place them in the Islamic category, therefore an enemy of Israel. At least this is the thinking of a ignorant frange of the American society . This type of people generally cannot position France or Russia in the map. That said Turkye is a great country and the people are working harder than many countries because they are not accepted in Europe to benefit the generous handouts that Greece, Bulgaria and Hungary benefited to rapidly develop.

It’s the hospitable Turkish culture that keeps the city alive. They are friendly and not grumpy like others. And the food is amazing. Turks are good with desserts, they do the french desserts better than the French. I’ve been all over Europe hunting for the best eclairs and I found them in Istanbul.

When I stayed in Uskudar foor a week I went one day out of the city by bus to Cile on the Black Sea. A nice town with pleasant beach. You also can go there from Karakoy. Do not forget to go to the Big Bazar in the down town as well!

I love the way you inserted Turkish names for us to learn, and giving me a tasting tour. Istanbul is definitely on my bucket list, although if it weren’t for your video I would have never thought about it.

Turkey is a fabulous country to visit. People are so friendly, the food is gorgeous, a wealth of historic ruins of cities to choose from to visit. No matter where you go there's always one nearby. The landscape is varied, and Istanbul is a trip in itself, but even in small towns, beautiful mosques and interesting streets... And everywhere great food! And it's much cheaper than Europe.

Really? I saw a video from a couple who have travelled to something like 70 countries and they said Turkey was their favourite. Instanbul is also one of the most visited cities in the world.

Well they have their crazy dictator as well, and always try to squeeze everything they can from other countries. Now for example they and Hungary are the only countries blocking Sweden from joining NATO because they say Sweden is "a terrorist state" and want a bribe of some kind to accept.

What is the definition of better? As a turk I am sure I would be more free in Russia if I criticize "Turkish" politics.
