@@TerryGrancho being a performing musician since 1979, I’ve heard several hundred really good local, and abroad, cover bands, but sometimes the word cover band gets stigmatized. Also I believe that’s what they (HSCC), refer to themselves. I know they are a force. All of them being top shelf teachers, professors, studio artist, engineers, film, sound. Any of them could tour with anyone. IMHO.

The true technical definition of a tribute band is a performer or musical group that intentionally sets out to fully imitate, on every level, in every way the original artist. Looks, sound, mannerisms, emminating every aspect of the original artist as much as they possibly can. However, with that all said, who cares who embraces what definition, we all love HSCC and we all believe they are the best in the world at what they do. 🙂

This song always brings tears to my eyes. When I first heard this song, I was a 23 year old lieutenant stationed overseas. I had just received the envelope with my divorce papers from my wife. It came as a total surprise. Apparently, the long separations and uncertainties of being a military spouse was too much for her. In the envelope was also a tape with this song. To this day, it is a bittersweet song for me. Thank you for this beautiful rendition.

Yeah, she was giving it her all for sure and it paid off. She’s usually in heels (she can’t be but 5’0” or 5’2”), but I think she’s barefoot in order to be comfortable enough and get enough power to push this song.
