С самого начала с огромным нетерпением ждал 2:40, но такого не ожидал, аж на слезу восторга пробило, как малолетнего пацана :) На 3:50 просто расплылся в улыбке, настолько хорошо, вот многие коду как-то упрощают, голос у всех к этому моменту подсевший, какой-то уже бессильный, что вполне объяснимо, а Алёна настолько профессионально всё сделала. что только порадоваться за неё, и за себя, что могу чувствовать вот такой крутой кайф, всего лишь навсего глядя на дисплей. Много каверов I Will Always слышал, как наверно и многие здесь. Такой- впервые. Даже трудно согласиться, что это кавер. 100% ощущение, что это оригинал бутлег, просто почему-то Whitney немного изменилась внешне, ну- бывает . P.S. David Johnson Did you know when Whitney did it, it was a cover of a Dolly Parton song? Who first sang it on tv in 1974. Then later she recorded it for one of her movies with Burt Reynolds. Now Whitney nailed it, but Dolly wrote it and performed it at least 18 years prior.

Bravo, Aly - that was abolutely flawless. Not just musically, although even that would be a huge accomplishment - but in how you convey the passion through the music. I've heard so many people attempt this song on the various "got talent" shows, but you put every one of them in the shade. Your tonal and dynamic range, control, as well as the emotion you convey through your voice put you in a class of your own. It is a great tribute to Whitney, far more than just a vocal excercise. Of course, after your previous five (? I make it more than that, as you've certainly got a video of a live performqnce of "Step by Step") covers of Whitney's songs, those of us who have been following you for a while (or binge-watched through your channel more recently) knew this would be amazing, and you didn't disappoint us. This and the original Whitney Houston cover of Dolly's original (which I also remember, although it wasn't the huge hit here in the UK that it wass in the US) are the only ones that can wet my cheeks, it really is that good.

And yes, you are a musician of the highest quality, but listen back over some of what you've recorded - your strongest and most unique talent is your voice, and it is as a singer that you shine the brightest, whether you consider yourself one or not. They aren't mutually exclusive, but complementary talents. And I've seen those live clips, too - you can work an audience, have them clapping and stamping their feet in time, dancing for joy, or in tears, and that combination of abilities makes you perfect to lead a band - whether from behind a keyboard or standing behind a microphone. By the time you get your album of original work out, my fingernails will be chewed to the knuckle in anticipation!

Whitney was covering someone else’s song. This is actually a Dolly Parton song. She wrote and originally recorded this song in the early 70s. Dolly has always been very complimentary of Whitney’s version, stating she thought it was much better than her own. This is nicely done. Beautiful rendition of this wonderful song.
