I am a veteran of guitar lessons on the ol tube here across the whole variety of teachers .... and I always find your lessons and ways of playing super calm steady way of explaining to be top notch, straight forward and easy to digest. Thanks !

Good advice. It just irks me when I or many others post vids to share with others and someone who contributes nothing to KZbin goes around trashing others. But you're right. I should ignore that stuff because 99% of the comments I get are from great folk form all over the world. You keep watching and I'll keep posting. More coming soon. Thanks and cheers!

Excellent! Great key and definitely easier to sing. But those chords -- WOW! I could never get the callouses to play the guitar. But I know the verse vs. the bridge! And a few other things about guitar playing. My Dad was an excellent guitarist/singer. He didn't read music, which makes it infinitely more difficult to play any instrument. But he did good! Just couldn't get it thru my thick head. LOL! Keep up the good work!

@Frostie10 Hey V, we all need a little barre chord workout. However, for the past two years, I've been using John's style of playing barre chords with the thumb on the low E and playing the other strings as you would in the open position. Still haven't mastered it, but much more comfortable. I don't always use it on the vids as it might confuse some. Anyway, glad as always to hear your brilliant commentary. Thanks and the guitar is the same Yammy F-340, she's just getting prettier. Cheers.

This is an exceptional reading of this tune, thanks! And thanks so much for the alternate out section. I watched the Montreal show. It is always incredibly helpful to be so up close. It is also refreshing to see that these songs to which we accredit scriptural value are really just something with which to have fun, even for their authors. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Catch Allison Krauss's version if you have a chance.
@jpm2u10 жыл бұрын
Richard Em Hi Richard. I couldn't agree more. I know The boys would all love us to have fun with their songs, enjoy and not take the music so "scriptural" as you say. However, saying that, I am working on the album version just because it is a nice version and a challenge. Thanks and cheers.
