Forgot the opening upstroke the beach too slow and it's not doubled up the way you're playing it

Hey dude, awesome! what a great song & you make it so easy to follow, just wrote out lyrics, filled in your chords & nailed it in just over an hour. BIG THANK YOU.

Hey mate, great lesson. Thank you kindly. When you say add the capo though... Do I then shift all the chords you played, one extra fret over, or keep 'em there? Sorry if this is a bit of an ignorant question, I'm not up to code on my music theory quite yet 😊

It s been many years since I learned to play this song … learned this originally from you when you first posted it …now 2024 me at age 73, I’d forgotten several of the very needed chords … however thanks to you, and your original posting, Sir .. back in the saddle playing this Beat tune … is one of my all time favs … Started my guitar days in 1963 .. as many teens did…. my Sears Silvertone acoustic… $17.95 with black cardboard case … still have it …along with way too many guitars… stop rambling … you put up many of the BEST ACCURATE instruction lessons that still measure up in the ‘Best’ category .IMO Thanks for the ride (It’s been a long song ) RD IN Michigan “Don’t Let The Old Man In” Toby Keith

LYRICS: All my little plans and schemes Lost like some forgotten dreams Seems that all I really was doing Was waiting for you Just like little girls and boys Playing with their little toys Seems like all they really were doing Was waiting for love Don't need to be alone No need to be alone It's real love, it's real Yes, it's real love, it's real From this moment on I know Exactly where my life will go Seems that all I really was doing Was waiting for love Don't need to be afraid No need to be afraid It's real love, it's real Yes, it's real love, it's real Thought I'd been in love before But in my heart, I wanted more Seems like all I really was doing Was waiting for you Don't need to be alone Don't need to be alone It's real love, it's real It's real love, it's real Yes, it's real love, it's real It's real love, it's real Yes, it's real love, it's real It's real love, it's real Yes, it's real love, it's real It's real love, it's real

Thank you. I’ve seen so many chord sheets and videos get this wrong (they just show a simple outline of the song without all the nuances) but you nailed it for the most part other than I’m sure John plays an E Minor with a D note leading into the A7 and into the D Major 7. But you got it way closer than I could have worked out. What a genius John was and what an ear you have! I feel clever playing his songs because his chords were so unusual. It blows my mind thinking of his talent. I can see it and recreate it but I could never create it myself. It has walking bass notes and ascending and descending high notes 😮

Just a quick suggestion. You should play the whole song through first. A lot of us can grab what we need without the piece by piece instruction.

As a writer I must say I do believe you're right. That's something I would do... exactly like that. When I figure out songs I put myself in the writers head. That's is to say think how they would be thinking when they wrote it. This is one I've always liked but never figured out. I do believe you're right in your assessment of what he actually did. Well done

Am I wrong or you had a lesson for Yesterday? I'm pretty sure that I've learned it from you few years ago, and since I've just took back my guitar from the corner I left it for too long I don't remember how to play it. I came back to your channel right away but coudn.t found it. So, was it deleted or my memory is false? Thanks in advance for your answer!
