Another thing to note is that Peter Obi and Baba Ahmed were serious antagonists of Obasanjo when he was in power. Again, Datti Baba Ahmed was the one who moved the motion against Obasanjo's 3rd term Presidential ambition bid in the house, when he served as Senator for Kaduna North. Prof Chris Nwokobia (Convener of Country First and Human Rights Activist) suffered the longest jail under Abacha and Obasanjo combined... he is currently a member of Labour Party PCC and a Spoke person of the ObiDatti ticket. Even as an Igbo man, he joined the APC to campaign for Buhari, because he thought Buhari will set the right direction for the country, Now, he has decamped to Labour Party. Is it not surprising that these are the people Obasanjo is endorsing now? It gets to a point in a man's life (usually at an old age) where nothing else matters but legacy, restitution, repentance, regrets of your past mistakes and how to remedy them... I believe Obasanjo is at that junction now! Why do we say "the grey hair of the old is a symbol of wisdom" It is not because they are good people, but because they know the aftermath of actions and decisions. To protect a community from thieves, ask an older repentant thief for advice. To stay strong in marriage, ask a regrettable divorcee for advice and you will never leave your marriage. To Govern a country to great heights, seek advice from a formal leader who is out to rewrite his wrongs, and make peace with his Maker. He will not only tell you the wrong things and mistakes he did, but he will gladly tell you the right things he did not, and was not bold enough to do. He will tell you who to include in your leadership and who to be weary of in other to achieve success.
