Em needs to slow down and stop trying to rap fast. His older stuff sounded better because of the melody of his voice which you don't get so much when rapping at the speed of light

@@goofed86 I agree with you to some extent. His older stuff is absolutely golden. However, he has managed to change his style and still come up with great songs. Not alot of bands\artists can chnage their sound and still sound amazing. It also prevents things from going stale.

No he doesn't anymore, the label does be he does this for himself and for us, his fans.
One of the songs on this album he has a lyric where he something like, "because if ever was about the skrilla, I coulda quit a long time ago". He's also said "he's rapping till he's fossil fuel" I think he'll be rapping when he's 65 for real. He'll always have his fan base.

I am as old as Eminem I've been with him from the start. My middle daughter me and her would lie key buy the unedited versions after her dad she could only have the ones that were censored. You miss the whole song that way and that sucks. I love your comment and his you put everything. I'm a huge Shakespeare fan as well and when Eminem said.... " just call me a modern day Shakespeare! " and the memes are great looking at Eminems head in those back in the days atire. Sir Ian McKellan the best theatre actor of stage plays gave a lecture one saying " Shakespeare above all other writers knew how to write about all the complexities of life that make up our human existence! " that's exactly what Eminem does just in a way that we in this modern day can understand it.

It’s already a fuxking masterpiece in pure rapping. Thing is he’s 45+ yrs old so he’s not “IN” It is no longer “Cool” to listen to Eminem. Most of the public/ people listen to artists and music that is trendy, such that would make them seem “Cool” and “Interesting” / “Stylish” - Such songs that if a slut heard the guy was listening to she will think he’s “Cool” ; My point being that nowadays the actual quality has nothing to do with what’s popular. These people don’t give a Fuck Eminem is spitting ridiculous verses with ridiculous bars flows rhyme schemes and bunch of insane techniques. On top of it 90% of the shit he spits goes over their heads so yes; Em is not appreciated and rated properly as he should be by mainstream these days. But those who fuck with RAP and know what it is KNOW Em is still Today at his age the BEST rapper in the world right now and no one can spit on his level. Oh, another BIG problem Em deals w today and Ems fans online is the racist black rap fans who refuse to give Em his props and rate him properly simply because he is white. For them, that fact alone AUTOMATICALLY rules Eminem out of the GOAT talk. These people are a minority in real life but really ACTIVE AND LOUD on the internets and make their racist opinions seen on every Eminem video, song, topic, forum etc It is no longer a fucking opinion. He is one of the GOATS. He is top 5 dead or alive this isn’t fucking arguable ANY LONGER. Now who is number 1 , THE GOAT; That can be argued all day and forever; for some it’s Em, for some it’s Pac, for some it’s NAS, and for some it’s JAY z. But if you don’t include Em in your top 5 either 1. You’re a small hardened turd in place of a brain. 2. You’re black, and Can’t get yourself to accept that a white Boy is one of the best in a genre “black People created” altho other races contributed as well

I don't get why this song especially Eminem's last verse is not getting more attention? All the people over the years were whining and begging for the old "hard" Eminem and that verse was absolutely fucking bonkers in terms of energy, rhyming and disses. I'd say it is almost at the same level of till I collapse and bad guy 4th verse in terms of goosebumps and overall energy

I get old school Eminem vibes from this. Surprised nobody else has said it already, but the beat sounds similar to back when he produced his own beats, they always had a sound that was distinct and you could tell he made it (like the cross beat nas used) the vocals too are similar sounding to back then too. This and unaccommodating are easily my favourite tracks on this album.

The entire song is lowkey, a throwback at The Shining, the whole voices in his head, telling him to kill, slowly giving into them, is the same as what happened to Jack Torrance.
