I love this song, and I never really thought about the lyrics until I heard Gavin sing it. As I listened to it for the hundredth time tonight, I realized that it's about not being afraid of death, not having that fear of losing who you love if there is no afterlife. Because even if there is nothing after we die, we still had the memories we made during life, and that will ensure that you are forever entwined with the one you love.

This song reminds me so much of my great-grandparents who passed away two years ago. They were married for 68 years. My great-grandfather passed away on October 25 at the age of 92. My great-grandmother (who had severe Alzheimers) passed away exactly 5 days later at the age of 93. I had taken a picture just a months before and I snapped it as soon as she said (while looking up at him) "I'd follow you anywhere" and she did exactly that.

Yesterday a senior girl from my high school that went missing Monday, was found dead in a pond. I feel this song and the way Gavin sings it really expresses the grief in my town. She was a beautiful girl, well loved by all of her friends and family. I did not personally know her, but tragic events like this really hit home. She was too young, and had so much promise. It's such a shame to see her go. We still don't know if it was suicide or not, but either way, she's in heaven now. Sarah Townsen

I just came back from the veterinarian after putting my guinea pig to sleep... She had a large tumor on her cheek and was suffering.. I am literally crying and shaking as I type.
