I have no idea if anyone will see this comment, but copyright claims don't just come from dodgy game developers. They also come from music and movie license holders, such as Warner Chappel, which recently claimed over 400 videos on Mumbo Jumbo's Minecraft channel, which has over 3 million subscribers, for just 4 seconds of audio used in the introduction of every one of his videos! Miracle of Sound has also had entire videos claimed by third parties over music that was Miracle of Sound's own creation. In both cases, these are fraudulent claims that aren't used to silence criticism, but rather leech off the hard work of these creators in order to make a fast buck. KZbin's copyright system is so broken that it essentially encourages thieves to destroy the livelihoods of anyone hoping to make any kind of profit off of KZbin through ad revenue, while daring the affected channels to appeal the claim and cop a strike from the claimant. Now, obviously this is a different line of discussion in that the offending companies in my examples aren't looking to silence channels, but it's still an abuse of the system, an infringement of the channels' right to earn a living doing what should count as their legally protected job and another instance of companies taking advantage of the fact that copyright law hasn't fully caught up with modern technology. I would love to see these music industry giants take a serious financial hit for what they do to content creators on KZbin, especially the ones that hire personnel under different company names with the explicit purpose of filing these contentID claims manually on the parent company's behalf. Fuck these people! (Also, fuck whatever glitch in this system that adds an extra line of space between my paragraphs and forces me to go back and edit my posts. Twice.)

The Warner Chappel claims against Oli were actually legitimate. The composer of his intro music had sampled music owned by Warner Chappel without permission. Oli was just caught in the crossfire of someone else's screwup.
