All productivity gurus like you or Ali Abdal use Notion but for me it is too complicated. Taking notes or agenda should be easy and time saving but notion is not i guess. Or Am I the only one who thinks that?

Great video, Jeff! I’d consider myself an “advanced” beginner in Notion-I finally crossed the hurdle this year from "Notion is too confusing" to "Notion is amazing!" If you’re taking requests, I’d love to see a video exploring use cases for integrating ChatGPT with Notion. That would be incredibly helpful!

Again a great video 💪🏻 A suggestion for a new Notion template could be a Travel planner with a "Places I'd like to visit" + Planning + Visited - maybe designed like a mood board with a few "checklist" - Places to visit/photograph + Places to eat and a simple itinerary

Hello Jeff! I love your content; I've missed a video on Notion and hope more will be coming soon. I’ve had a question for a while about note-taking: when do you use Google Docs (I use your templates for taking notes) and when do you use Notion for note-taking at work? Thanks!

I too use dates in my labels and file names. My formate is always 6 digits. i.e. Todays would be "241113 - Meeting Follow Up with ABC Client" You still have the ability to search, as you demonstrated, while also going further to specific month and day. i.e. You know what you are looking for was after Halloween but not the exact day. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jeff and thanks for your video 🙏. The one thing it's not so clear, is on how you manage the tasks added to your database. You use Todoist for quick capture. How do you handle them? How do you get reminders? How do you separate work from personal ones. Thanks in advance.
@JeffSu2 күн бұрын
I use todoist to capture the tasks/ideas then I organize them to Notion

Ah, always good to see what you do with Notion. It is too bad that I am not important enough to use it (and our company blocks access to things like this). I am back to the ol' pen and paper, though the company still is upset that I am not working and merely writing. I can't win with some people, you know?

This is so cool, looking forward to more videos like this!! I'm following a Java course, and i have been taking so many notes every single day and putting them in to Header 1 toggle lists with: day of the lesson and arguments, but i'm looking for a more helpful way to organize those lessons and to summarize and write better but still keeping in mind the previous ones. How could i do this better? I'm thinking about getting unlimited notion AI, is so helpful!

One thing I’m struggling with is how to have everything in one place (i.e. notion). I cannot use notion at work but I don’t like OneNote which his what I’m allowed to use at work. How do you reconcile that? How do you have your meetings in Notion. If I remember correctly you’re also restricted to what applications you can use at work. Give me some ideas on how I can have my meetings notes and other work notes in my notion. I feel like I’m all over the place!
@JeffSu7 сағат бұрын
Short answer is: Unfortunately we can't. I use google workspace for work-related stuff and Notion for everything else.

7:38 Bc of this, I'm starting to think it might be smarter to move completed tasks to a dedicated db. There are various scenarios, such as filtering, when Notion is still forced to process all 330 tasks. This way, your working tasks db will remain light & snappy. You'd think Notion would have a solution for this - it's probably why Notion's native desktop app is such memory hog..to the point where it's more efficient to use Chrome (and that's saying something)
@JeffSuКүн бұрын
"more efficient to use chrome" LOL

That’s kind of rude. If you don’t like his content, don’t watch it. It’s that simple. Not all content is for everyone. @@JeffSu You're welcome. I just don't think what @JTDIYM is helpful. It's rude criticism not constructive criticism. You can't do anything with his criticism be b/c its essentially just, "I have found no value in anything you've made." I mean--what are you meant to do with that? Now, if he had said a reason why he didn't find any value in the video like "you did this too much..." or "you didn't do enough of this," then that would have been more helpful. IMO

But you're always going to find people who feel secure behind a pfp and think that they're okay to say or do anything they want. Wish you the best!
