My dad is a truck driver, but before that he and my uncle owned a dairy farm, which my grampa started. i rode my bike to every summer, just down the road. i remember my grampa and me finally got along and he passed away. back in my day dairy farming and trucking barely paid the bills, so i went into welding and eventually industrial maintenance. I had a car accident that left me paralyzed from the waist down, but i love tractor and combine videos, reminds me of when i drove a 2000 ford dexta pulling hay wagons and silage wagons. i can live vicariously though you! by the way I'm only 44, or is that old now? lol!

Most modern farming equipment is operated by hands and eyes. Computers have brought us a long way. Maybe instead of living vicariously, you could actually get out there and operate equipment for some of the big farms that have the cash flow available to equip their machines for people with disabilities? So gratifying to see all that is happening in the farm. You are a close family doing what you do best...farming, and you deserve every good thing that comes your way, because you have earned it. You must have been really close to your dad; you get emotional each time you talk about him. I love the fact that you turned the youngster loose with the skid loader. In this day and age, some parents seem so reluctant to give the kids a little rope, thinking they will hurt themselves. That is the reason your kids' friends gather around your place, because you treat them with respect and give them credit for having good sense.

Talk to him, keep him involved. It also helps with the grieving knowing they are around. It will be 30 years in Oct since mine passed, i talk to him off and on everyday. He was only 69.

Cole and Daddy your grandpa is with you. His spirit is everywhere you are. He would be so proud of what you guys have done so far on the farm. Cole your lucky to have know your grandpa. Mine died at 49 of black lung disease and the other of a heart condition. So your lucky you had him the time you did. Daddy Cornstar never apologize for a strawberry shake. So good. We have a place around here that puts strawberry pieces in the shake. Your face muscles get a workout drinking them, so thick and yummy. Don't forget Sable Daddy Cornstar.
