@intentionalfavour pls I will like you to also mentor me on this same journey, I am a graduate of microbiology here in Nigeria and I really want to do pre-registration nursing in the UK but the fee is quite high and I don't know how to go about starting the journey with what I have with hope to complete the fees before the end of the 2 year duration of the course. I will be glad to hear from you. Congratulations to you @rudyatie3154

Thanks for this video Favour. From my own experience, what increased my credit score the most was getting a credit card. I had Several direct debits on my account and was also registered on the electoral register but my credit score was still quite low and one of the reasons they gave was that it's because I didn't have any active credit cards. As soon as I got a credit card, even within a month of getting the card, my credit score increased

Yeah it’s true it’s building your credit score. I got my Samsung and it was a family I lived with got it for me that was 2014/15. I even got about 3 credit cards.

Credit /credit score is also important in US and necessary for a lot of things like buying a house, car, school loans, etc. For the phone contract, I actually bought mine for half the price by paying for 30 months 😂 Also, worth noting that having or using credit cards should be according to your paying back capacity. Just use the cards and then pay back the money every month; that is how to build credit scores.
@IntentionalFavour Жыл бұрын
Well said! You bought it half the price? Wow! That's interesting
@ThatGirlRuchie Жыл бұрын
@@IntentionalFavour yes! Since I paid for 30 months, they credited me $10 each month as I paid $20, making the iPhone half price 😁

Is that how it works in US? Bcos in UK, from what I've heard it cost more. If there's a cheaper way of doing it in UK, please let us know.
@ThatGirlRuchie Жыл бұрын
@@godisbig827 I guess every country is different. I wouldn’t know if there’s a cheaper way over there but US networks have several ways of getting new customers on yearly contracts and this kind of discount is one of them.

I have been hearing about this credit score since. Thank you for really going into details. I have an international driving license and will come to the UK in September by the grace of God. Do you have any idea how I can use that to improve my credit score?

Hi Favour. Thank you for this information. How can you check your credit score?
@IntentionalFavour Жыл бұрын
I don't know about all banks, but I check mine through my bank app; I bank with Halifax. Two major companies that does that are Experian and Trans Union, you can check it with them, just Google how to.

Hello favour, is an Education Officer a Social Worker? I have a client trying to apply for Social Work Masters in Canada but wondered if her experience as an Education Officer will get her MSW without BSW degree?
@IntentionalFavour Жыл бұрын
An education worker isn't a social worker. It depends on what she does as an education worker to qualify as a needed experience for studying social work..

What percentage is considered high interest rate? My bank Monzo offered me card but I don’t understand the interest rate so I didn’t apply for it. I don’t understand those credit unit and all very confusing terms 🤦♀️

It's relative, although some banks have higher interest rates. I'm not an expert in that though.
