Hey guys! I'm happy to say I was able to sell the white Mazdaspeed3 shell for $200 after I took all the parts I wanted off of it, if you're wondering where the "$200 Mazdaspeed engine" comes from as I mention $400 in the video. Things are looking pretty promising, the cost has been really low for this build and I can't wait to share more video's of it in the future! Hope you guys enjoy!! 👍

Would love to see more videos on your Mazdaspeed. Great stuff. I was in the miata game for years and there are lots of channels for that car. Haven't found as much Mazdaspeed content.

Man. Canada is brutal on cars. I’m not accustomed to seeing that much rust where I live.

Its has nothing to do with Canada. Same thing happens in the state of New York. It has to do with what coast you are on. In British Columbia cars do not rust out like they do in Ontario.

Yeah cars rust like crazy in my area it's brutal to find clean cars after they are only a few years old because of the salt on the roads

When it comes to the turbo, I suggest upgrading it to a CST4 (that's the route I went, but kept my power numbers just slightly below 400hp) or getting a rebuilt K04 turbo from Chris Ward. Popular name and face in the DISI community.

Awesome! Thanks for the info! I did see the CTS4, and it does seem like a great option! I'll have to see the cost comparison vs rebuilt and the benefits from it!

As mentioned in the comments the CST4 is a great option. It can light up very fast but it’s a lot more linear instead of a very fast spike between 3k and 5k with the stock turbo which is not so good for the engine. As For the timing components i would Check out the speed performance kit. they do built engines for the speeds .

I believe a mazda 5 alternator bolts up to where the ac was. There are writeups online. Dont waste your time with the stock turbo, just put a cst4 or cst5 on it. Both will max out the stock fuel system. Vvt just get an oem kit. I have a built engine in mine and is good for 700whp that has an oem kit. Jordan at overspeed motorsports built mine. There isn't a need to overthink and reinvent the wheel.

Yes I did see some write ups that's where I got the idea of it, the regulars Mazda 3 and Mazda 5 have the alternator in the A/C location. And it seems a lot of people are recommending the CTS4, looks like it's the way to go! Thanks! 👍
