Awesome section on Cadence, revealing some info people have been keeping a lid on. Quick reel turns after snap-snap can be very provocative.

WELL DONE! I'm a little late to the party (just discovered the Channel). Excellent content, great information and very very accurate, unbiased. I'm 72 years old and been doing this since it was called "Crispin" back in the Ozarks, instead of jerking. Great job!

My favorite thing about the slow sink of the Stunna is the way that you can cast it into a tight target and let it sink to the proper depth, as opposed to having to cast your bait past where you want to fish and reeling it down I’ve had a ton of success throwing it into the inside corners of docks or lay downs and letting it sink before working it out

You should do a video on changing the ring hooks. Keep these videos up.

Well done. I much prefer long form videos, in this adhd age of tips & tricks and shorts a deep dive into a single subject is refreshing.

My only complaint is how small the barb is. They are super sticky but wish the barb on their hooks were a bit larger

I noticed in the introduction the jerkbait is a Nishine Erie 115 yet you didn’t mention it. Have you tried it? And What are your thoughts on it?
@brnowak_fishing Жыл бұрын
I’ve caught some fish on it but haven’t fished it enough to have any really good input unfortunately
@ronstrohman672 Жыл бұрын
Do you tie direct or use a snap to the lure?
@brnowak_fishing Жыл бұрын
I use either a split ring or a snap. I won’t tie direct because it limits the bait

I picked up a regular rerange and a mr rerange after hearing about them on one of your podcasts last year. Ironically I stayed at the totally hooked lake house over the weekend, that we booked before your video, and threw the rerange you spoke about in this video. I’m not a stalker I swear haha. The mr rerange was the deal Friday/Saturday. I threw Megabass, stunna, rapala and the mr rerange was our locator and numbers producer. Ended up putting a hook through my leader and lost it on a fray. Got tough after that. Appreciate the long form videos and the content, I watch them all.

What size Ichikawa trebles do you use?
@brnowak_fishing Жыл бұрын
It depends on what the bait calls for. Most standard size jerkbaits are #6 and bigger 120 size are #4s

@@brnowak_fishing Okay. I just recently picked up the Duo's 100 & 120 and still trying to figure out where they apply in my jerk bait fishing so it was good to hear you mention them

Been using megabass for a long time now and the only one that I think is worth the price is the 110 silent, Jr series, and 110 plus 1. -been fishing jerkbait for years now and every bass are different, I catch some burning the jerkbait while some want it to pause a while while some don’t even hit jerkbait but will hit a worm

Thanks for this video. Fish from the bank in the northeast. My area most places are max 5’ with leafy black muddy bottoms . I’ve experimented a lot with line diameters. I have to play close attention to line diameter because I need to cut the depth to 3-4 in late fall into winter. In later winter into spring I have to up the diameter to get the bait to not go passed 2’. I’ve had a lot of luck wiht the rapala shadow / shadow shad rap and the 13 fishing loco special. These two baits have all performed out of box as advertised. … I’ve had bum luck with megabass. Bought 4 and 3 sank right to the bottom.

Great Great video Ben! I love these style of video's as they compliment your on the water videos very nicely. I was hoping you would mention how you add the colour shot to your jerkbaits. Is it a permanent marker or paint , is it nail polish? Thanks again. Peter
@brnowak_fishing Жыл бұрын
Hey Peter - thank you!!! I use nail polish, permanent markers, and paint pens from the craft store
