I bought the natural shad color and the gold. Threw the natural shad today (sunny clear water day) and snagged a 19in walleye and had a blast doing it!! All I did was take your advice so it was kinda you who caught a fish in Nebraska today Ethan! Thanks for helping me get to be the one who had all the fun doing it! First jerk bait catch of my life! Loved it!

I've caught 23 inch bass that were only 5 pounds . But if it was really fat it could easily have been 7 but I would put my money on lower 6

I think I found my 2 favorite jerk bait’s one by bruiser bait’s and the other a slow sink rapala shadow rap. I’ve been fishing and recording but I’ve been lazy with editing lol but the most important thing is I’m figuring it out! Thanks for the extra info man I really appreciate it!

So i have yet to catch a single fish on a true jerkbait. I just have zero confidence and feel like I'm not using it right. Back when I started with the Ned, i watched your earlier vids closely, repeatedly, to watch your movements/retrieves to start gettin the hang of it. I feel like this video right here is going to be that vid for the jerkbait for me. Thanks broski

@@FishAnything I plan on getting a 13 fishing defy silver, I am thinking the 5’6 model would be most versatile. I saw it at fishusa for only $40!

I've had a heck of a time with the wind lately. It's not blowing hard, it's blowing _hard._ I didn't think to throw a jerkbait, I'll have to get that in my travel kit for next time. First time spring fishing, so I feel like I'm having to learn everything all over again. I finally got fall fishing down last year, but now the rules are different.
@FishAnything2 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah man this spring has been weird weather up here in Michigan. And plenty of wind around too :/ Spring is all about chasing the warmth. As it gets warmer, the fish start to focus entirely on the spawn.
@Brunnen_Gee2 жыл бұрын
@@FishAnything Well, I found where they are, I've been hammering the longear sunfish and warmouth, some really good bluegill as well, and I've managed to pull up a few bass here and there.

When it comes to the yo-zuri pin minnows, I always use a gold flame. For some reason trout loves this color, i don't know why but they just do. As long as I'm catching them, why should I complain about it right.
@FishAnything2 жыл бұрын
I love that color for trout too!

@midwestfischerman2 жыл бұрын
The coolest thing about jerkbait fishing is THE SUSPENSE (not the "suspension" 😉). It is power fishing that gets explosive strikes, but it's not power fishing on a straight retrieve. The pauses generate that SUSPENSE... you have no idea when that hidden fish is going to SLAM your jerkbait. You can visualize that bass nosing up on your jerkbait, waiting like a coiled up viper, just waiting to STRIKE!!! OOOOHH THE SUSPENSE!!!
@FishAnything2 жыл бұрын
Good way to put it! Such a unique, fun way to catch them.

Hello and good morning. Can your recommend a ultralight for fishing down south Tx (Lol no ice)
@FishAnything2 жыл бұрын
Hey hey Edward! My ultralight rod recommendations don't change by area. I would check out some of my ultralight rod reviews. If you are wanting to spend sub-$60, I would go with a 13 Fishing Defy Silver. The Temple Fork for around $100 is a Texas rod company and a very nice setup for versatility. If you want something higher end, the Dobyns Sierra is fantastic but it costs $160.
Wonderful explanation. Only thing I would of added is don’t use expensive ones while toothy fish are around! 😢
