It looked as though the plane had pulled off a successful belly landing, but it was collision with a wall which should not have been there which turned a relatively mnor accident into a tragedy.

My heart goes out to the victims & their families who now need time to deal with this heavy crisis introduced to them via the media. A word to the media... These are 179 lives that has just been extinguished on camera. please be more mindful that some ppl just lost their sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers; which, in Korea, can be tenamount to losing their livelihood. Repeating images of the actual moment when no one was left alive is A HUGE SLAP to the faces of the victims' families. Please be more human.

Those pilots were dumb. The report said the nose gear didn't deploy. SO put the main gear down SLOW down and use the brakes of the main gear to slow the plane and then drop the nose on the runway. Also what idiot put a wall at the end of the runway?

I think that even if the landing gear was deployed perfectly, it would still hit the wall in the same way. You're right, that idiot put up that wall.
