7:10 Just so everyone knows, because i also didn't. You don't jump to call out Chipps command grab, you back dash. Backdash leaves you in airborne state for a couple frames, so it'll whiff and you'll recover much faster than jump to punish. Helps alot in the matchup.

Well that’s not what he said if you’re stuffing it, he said if you jump to avoid the grab you can’t punish it. the air grab has to be done instantly anyways and it’s realistically a bad punish

I have watched players do it in tournaments all the time.It’s not a bad punish.Its 100% a realistic punish. Players sometimes have a pattern they get repetitive with there mix he can read it and go for that punish the next time if he can’t see it the first time.You can throw both Beta Blades .Chipp health is so low one Grab into RC you can take 50% of his health.

@@wickedcyborg That is stuffing it, not a punish. Plus no it’s not a good punish because you’re forced to burn RC for any followup. The best way to stuff it if you know it’s coming (like you said) is to interrupt with a button, not jump throw because you get meterless follow ups

7:13 You can reliably airgrab it. It is range dependent though. The closer he is to you the easier you can do it. The further and the harder it is. But at max range your normals mostly will hit Chipp out of it anyway lol.

Don't be intimidated by him, he's actually not too hard mechanically despite his 2 star difficulty rating, I believe the rating is there because of his bloodrage mechanic and because his gameplan is not as straight forward as most of the cast. S > S > 214H > 6H is an easy bread and butter blood efficient nago combo (even fame does this), and if you command dash immediately after you have oki. Also remember if you are close enough on block you can do S > S > Delay > Command Grab, and if they start punish this you can frametrap instead with the combo I mentioned earlier. Nago has a lot of throw/strike 50/50s when you get into the nuance of his kit but I won't overload you here. I recommend him, he's fun.

Man, Milia and Chipp are such a luck based fights. TBH idk why Leo, Chipp, Sol and Zato have a fricking command grab while haveing a shit ton of other mechanics on their side, while Ky for example have highly unsafe moves, less commands and doesn't have one.

Gold bursts are strike invuln the whole way through. You have to throw them to punish. Also you should try delaying 2s after c.s, its a true blockstring if you do it fast but if you delay it a lot it becomes a frametrap.

This Chipp is not that good either . He hardly ever used J 2k and it’s one of Chipp most broken moves . I’m a Celestial Nago btw and I play on PSN East Coast . I play a lot of strong Chipps I can tell the difference .
