You have a unique way of making the dough with the added butter, & from the softness of the dough, I'm not surprised that you won a competition. I like “Sticky Buns” made with the cinnamon rolls as they are here. But place the rolls in a round cake pan or glass casserole. Put brown sugar and soft butter in the bottom of the baking dish. Add pecans to the sugar and butter mixture. Place the rolled up sweet rolls on the mixture and bake as usual per the recipe. When baked, torn the pan over onto a plate. The gooey pecans and sugar will be on top. Yum!

Chill dough in refrigerator BEFORE and IMMEDIATELY after each butter application,…you can envelope fold up to 5-6 times to achieve a ‘pastry’ like, flaky quality cinnamon roll.

Hi. I'm watching this very late/extremely early in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas, USA. I was up to help my elderly mother and couldn't go back to sleep, so I started surfing videos and came across yours. I thought about getting up to make it right now but reasoned that wouldn't be conducive to sleep, which I badly need. You deserved the prize for this one! Thank you for the detailed instructions and the well organized video. I will be making these for my mother tomorrow, and then I'll do a batch for me that is gluten and dairy free and play with the recipe til I get it to work. Thank you for the recipe!

Schönes Rezept. Wird ausprobiert . Man kann den Teig auch in 8 oder 16 Teile aufteilen. Ausrollen und immer Butter dazwischen streichen und übereinander legen

Not a quick recipe, but interesting dough ingredients. Here we like them nice and gooey. I would add more butter before the sugars to break it down to that sticky gooey texture. 👏👏for your presentation!

We call them Rolly Polly's. Use leftover pie dough. I skip the pie and make the pie dough to make these. Butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. After they are cooked you can drizzle icing or caramel glaze.

Очень часто и я делаю такую выпечку ,запах стоит на весь дом ..тесто смазанное маслом ,посыпаю корицей сахаром ,скручиваю рулетом и очень острым ножом режу на кусочки,получаются очень аккуратно. Ещё гарячие смазываю кремом !!!Бесподобная вкуснота 😋А вы мастер.. очень красиво работаете с тестом . Италия.

Technically, a croissant is bread, too. The lamination creates the flaky layers and transforms it to something more than just bread.

Cinnamon rolls and cardamom rolls are made with yeast which makes them Swedish-style rolls. And there can be many different ways to make it, just use your imagination. Baking is an art thing

Sifting the flour makes it so much better. Not many cooks sift flour anymore. I learned this in high school back in the 1970s, Home Economics class.

It’s basically the exact same as bread dough but while bread dough is made with water, cinnamon bun dough is made with milk or yogurt. It is not pastry.

Beautiful job! I make a similar recipe but will try this one soon! I need to step up my game to make mine look that good. I prefer date rolls to cinnamon rolls though. Mine are dates and raisins and walnuts and pecans and cinnamon and brown sugar heated with butter then cooled, applied down the center and braided over. Frickin great.
