2019, im going between foster families right now. ive been missing a lot of the small things about being home, the jokes and turning songs up loud in the car and my expensive bottle of fancy fabric softener. i know this song is getting a little old now but ive been listening to it a lot. i dont really cry often because of my medication, but this song makes my eyes sore and my throat tight each time. i wonder how this song will make me feel when this is all over.

vbnorsr Hey bud. Hang in there. It gets easier as you get older. If I could tell my old self one thing, I’d say “don’t give up.” It never turns out quite like you expect, and there’s lots of zigs and zags, but it’s worth it.

When I first heard these songs a year ago, when you first released it, I was so passionately in love and this was to me a message of kindness and humility. As I returned again I hoped to feel pathetic and sorrowful with memories of things I've lost, but instead I've been given a renewing catharsis, remembrance of why I chose to accept a love in the first place. And an acceptance of its regretful departure. Thank you Jack. I pray that Peace, Success, and most of all: Love stay with you, forever.

Hello Jack, i don't know if you still look at this channel, or if you will ever see this text; that's okay, it's been years. This song resonates so deeply with me. been listening since 2016 and year after year i find myself coming back to your music, and this song in particular always highlights this for me. I will admit, there is a dread to be had with it but, i can't help but be reminded that it will all be okay, no matter what. Thank you Jack, for everything, and i hope you have a nice life.

Woowww this song blows my mind and I connect to it sooo much. It fits so many concepts and themes in one simple idea in 2 and a half minutes. It's really nostalgic (which I am so hard (and I think most everyone is)), it discusses the frightening vastness of time and how it's hard to figure out what really matters if anything does. Even after earth ends, time will keep going forever, and that's so frightening for some reason and he just takes it head on, dead on, so perfect. I'm so jealous of hi

i loved the fact that some images that are typically considered "sad" (like the person most probably on his/her deathbed) ended up in this video as well, among the straightforwardly happy ones, showing a different side of a potentially sad moment. i really liked that ambiguity, suggesting that happiness is just a matter of adjusting your point of view. have a nice day, jack conte!
