Beautiful machine! I always wanted to see one of those in operable condition. I can understand the frustration of working on it. I have a Seeburg M100A, an AMI J200 and F120. Fortunately they all run pretty well. It's like raising kids. You never know what kinda trouble they'll create! I'm glad to see yours running. Seeburgs and AMIs are everywhere but your 1500 is a real treasure!

Very nice to see one of these behemoths in action. A fascinating jukebox, a marvel in engineering. From what I understand though the operators had trouble keeping these things running even when new. It has to be one of the heaviest jukeboxes out there.

Stumbled across your video of this magnificent machine while surfing the web....I have a RockOla Super Rocket and it is beautiful too, but this 1500 is a serious record-playin' machine!

Great sounding 78 seems to be in great shape always thought these Jukes where cool. I had a rockola from the 60's that would play both 45's and 7" 33's

I always loved this model of Jukebox. I knew someone who had one. The sound was really great playing old rock and roll records. But as everyone knows the mechanism is a nitemare. It seemed good for about 200 plays before it would have some type of train wreck or a derailment. Always seemed to good on A sides and no speed changes.

update on the oil caps> The copper foil in oil Jensens sound good in the juke . I used one between the 6L6 and 6sn7. Has a better midrange than those little yellow caps. I replaced about 7 resistors that were drifted.. When I get time I will replace more.

I'd also test the vacuum tubes if you have not done this already, and check resistors for changes in value. Commonly resistors stretch in value beyond the ±10% tolerances and this can greatly affect the sound quality.

One note : If It ever jams between trays ,turn power off right away. I fried the wires to the moter one time. Also make sure there isn't alot of play in that bushing on the large cam wheel in the back.

There was a pizza place in Ann Arbor that had one of these about 10-15 years ago. I remember it always sounded very warbly whenver it tried to play a 45.

Well, I did run into a problem, trays from both sides came out. I looked in the back and notes that the tray guid for the left side fell off and the sping for the scanner was not on right. Nnow it works fine, I just need to do one thing and that the tune arm for the bottom to looesen up.

I now have nos RCA big bottle 6l6's in and NOS bugle boy tubes a Chrome top 6sn7 W The resistors are getting way out and all need replaced. Big job ! the Big diff in caps is the yellow china ones don't have the tone the original wax caps had. I Have some jensen copper oil to try in for coupling . My seeburg now has a huge sound from high end audio coupling caps
