I’m impressed that you “payed it forward” and gave deals out. I see sooo many people picking at flea markets and then having their own sale and not giving any deals and being jerks about it. I have seen that a lot because I do this for a living and I remember faces. This is a tough job and it isn’t for everyone.

I love purges. Put it all out for a dollar each and everyone eats it up regardless of what it is. People will actually give you more than a dollar if they felt it was too cheap or tell you to keep the change if they hand you a fiver or a tenner. Best way to make a quick $100+.

Nice sale, BTW John-a little story. Over the weekend I popped into a goodwill store (in Sacramento ) just to browse. Didn't buy anything but saw a young lady in front of the Electronics with her phone scanning in or looking up (Like Lonnie and you do ) VCR or DVD players to see if they were worth picking up. I was pretty sure I knew what was going on. Said Hello and asked if she was a reseller. She said yes. I said I had seen guys on KZbin doing that. Then I mentioned this guy I subscribe to Cincinatti Picker posts videos and he buys electronics. She said She follows/watches you and Lonnie too. Small world-Two fans of your's from Sacramento bumping into each other. Love your videos. People can learn a lot from how you do things.

I purged also. Two weekends ago I had a yard sale. It was moving slow so I did 1.00 sale and free. I felt so relieved when all the stuff was gone.

At the 9:40 mark, I could not help but chuckle at your wife when she was making sure that the $5.00 she just received went together with the other stack of 5’s you lot had already earned. Simply because as kids & then teen’s, my late father forever made it a point of making sure that I, along with my 6 other siblings always had our bills facing the same way & stacked in the same denominations, as well. 😋 R.I.P. My former tobe-inlaws did this 3/4 time and they made a Flippin killing. I used to be a hoarder when I had more space but reselling is my 2nd passion. Carpentry 1st, but, when I'm too old to do that I want to be a full time reseller, but, I also want to be able to travel. Its a hard combo. I think I would settle for being a reseller 1st.

I call them zero attachment garage sale. we did one 2 weeks ago and did $2300 for 2 days. key to a great garage sale is having some anchor items that are firm on price but everything else is priced but make an offer. Best Garage sale we ever did was 3700 for 2 days. just sayin.

@@hamonrye7415 We had six 8ft tables full of stuff and a driveway full of large items. Also I laugh when I see garage sales that have items for 50 cents. So, I use round numbers and everything starts at a dollar. I do have a few things at 50 cents but the dollar is the new 50 cents. That means that I need 2300 items at a dollar which I do not have. so I have some items at $5, $10, and $15. Also, I buy 2 cheap storage unites a year. (under $150) That way I have tons of merch for the sale. I sort them and only keep the good stuff and donate the rest after the sale. One more tip. STAY AWAY FROM SELLING CLOTHING...because a drinking glass or an old microwave has a bigger market than a large t-shirt. Most people going to garage sales buy stuff but only a few buy clothing. Baby clothing is different and sells right if its priced right. Not saying you cant and wont sell clothing but I am saying its a bit of a waist of time and space. Hope this helps.
