in 2008/2009 when everyone was getting evicted my mother-in-law and I (24 at the time and fresh out of college with no money) would cruise around and pick up the big black trashbags the landlords and forclosure teams would pile up outside the houses. All of my pyrex cookware, french white bakeware, metal bakeware, flatware came from those trashbags and I am still using it in 2021. We got lamps and wooden furniture and all kinds of good housewares. We didn't keep any of the soft items like towels, matresses, upolstered items becasue of possible bugs and you couldn't easily clean it. I will forever love my mother-inlaw for showing me all the trash that gets thrown away that I can live well off of for free with only a little bleach, dish soap and elbow grease. Now that I am financially secure I still will pick up items out of the trash and clean them up for Goodwill donations or to pass on to other young people starting out.

@dedhampster - 🤔2008/2009 was a horrible time for so many people. Some people un-alive-d themselves. Although I personally was fine I know people and heard stories about people who were not fine and lost everything. That story you told is a two edged sword. Reading how you profited from their stuff that I guess was put out as trash and you benefited from it….terrible for them but good for you.😞

@@LovingAtlanta I see where youare coming from about on man's woes becoming my gain. But I have learned that there is no guilt/shame in learning how to creatively survive. I have never taken from people who are in the process of frantically loading a Uhaul during an eviction. In fact I have helped with the labor in those situations and stored items for free for friends and family in tight spots. Everytime the items I take are in mounds of trash on the curb or in roll away dumpsters. Also, evictions do not happen overnight. renters and forclosed homeowners are given 1-6 months warning depending and they know persoanlly they are in a dire situration long before the bills come in. One needs to be vigilant, proactive and ask for help. When they do a midnight move or dont make alternative plans until the last moment, well, then, it is on them. Lastly, I have never profited off my finds. I have used the housewares to increase the quality of life for me and those around me. Life is more comfortable witha bedframe and not a mattress on the floor. I see it as resourcefullness and not profiteering.

Love you guys! You said it well Tucker! I have always struggled with not feeling worthy enough while growing up with 2 Brothers and felt my parents were disappointed in me. It took me years to get diagnosed with ADD and Severe OCD. Which explained why I struggled thru periods of my life. My parents loved me just as much as my brothers but listening to others compare me to them over the years caused me pain and heartache but I can say now I do follow my dreams and I am a reseller on eBay and I dumpster dive, trash pick, yard sale, and thrift shop to source my goods to sale. Tucker you are the reason I am doing what I do. I started watching you right after you started dating Sammy and your message you delivered from every video hit me like a train and I woke one day and stopped listening to everyone else and now I am walking a road I should have traveled long ago. I’m not too sure if you are going to see this, but I just wanted to thank you for the last five minutes of this video. It is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been going through a lot lately with the death of both of my parents and several life changes. I’ve been finding it hard to face the world as I once knew it. The best way to describe it is that I feel very stuck. I’ve been thrifting and reselling for a few months now. Although my business isn’t booming, it has been a great form of therapy for me. It gives me something to do to keep me from overthinking. And most importantly, it is helping me work on myself so that I can eventually get back into helping others. Thank you again and all my best to the both of you!

Hello. I was listening to your story on anxiety and it really touched my heart. Here is what helps me. 1. Knowing that Many people have anxiety and these days it seems like it’s everyone. 2. Financial issues. I need to have something to take my mind off them. 3. Pre COVID for me I need something fun to look forward to but didn’t have money. So I found that my local library had museum passes and some are free. Also library had free Tai Chi classes and they were very fun. 4. During COVID. Make a nice dinner, put some music on, get dressed up and dance with my boyfriend. Take a walk inside and outside the house and just soak in any improvements and how we enjoy the house. We call it house appreciation night. When I broke my collar bone in the summer and couldn’t go anywhere we bought a blowup pool and put it in the garage with music. It was very nice. I really like your video. I enjoyed looking at the beautiful homes and neighborhoods. You both look like you enjoy doing this. 🌺🐥🌺

Hi Sam and Tucker loving your openness about anxiety and depression, I mainly work full time, work at home due to covid in the uk. I live in London. I have anxiety depression. for reason of my life with sick elderly parents, one who's battled with advance Alzheimer's and dementia. my dad battle is coming up to 9 years. I just watched your yard sell, I thought was fantastic. I can't have a yard sell, as we don't get many people stopping through it's, a quiet street. so I have actually just started to list items on E-bay. am' basically listing, everything, de-clutter the house. I find cleaning house and going shopping once a week very useful, it helps with my mood swings from being stuck in the house when am not at work. when tidying house or going shopping. that's my short story, so I get were you are coming from when you go out and collect treasure, sell it ,in your yard,. that in it self is a goal for yourself and for your wife, as it lifts your spirits up. keep going you both got this. am loving the cats you got, i have 2 and a dog. xxxx

Start off with the lowest dose if you've never tried, 3mg is the lowest and 10 bing the higher. They sale it in pill capsule, gummy, gel pill and a liquid form. Valerian root is an easy find once you've found the melatonin. Hope that helps you some ☺️🥱😴🙏🏼

God bless you, both! People judge, it's natural. But if they are being stupid, screw them! I hurt for you when you hurt, please try to not hurt. How selfish am I? But, one day, because you are who You are, you will see the magic that's in you! You make a ton of people happy!

America's land of great opportunities, you can find everything you need on the street. It is a pity that we have nothing similar in Estonia. I really like the videos👍👍👍

The royal blue mod chair was the highest value on that one spot near the beginning. The maroon chairs also... for the wood alone, even if someone had to reupholster.

Don't listen to the haters. Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one. Unfortunately there are more jerks in this world then nice people. You and Sammi are two of the nice ones. Stay positive my friends we need people like you.

💢💢Stalker Alert💢💢 Omg! Totally kidding!!! Interesting fun facts about this couple I just stumbled upon! I couldn’t agree more. The Rant actually intrigued me to read some comments and give a thumbs⤴️. I love real ... I mean REAL feelings and candor! His genuine feelings about life and it’s daily BS. Thanks for showing me there are fans of theirs that are loyal for good reason I’m sure. 💜

Tucker & Sammy J. nice to meet you both via your video fascinating. I'm speaking to you from New Zealand where I was born & raised. Tucker your last comment at the end of this video was fascinating talking about how you & Sammy have anxiety problems about "overthinking" and not being able to "get out of your head". I found a solution that worked for me because I too am an overthinker lol!!! I would say to myself "My thoughts, feelings, and actions are under control!!!" I would say these simple words a couple of times and just leave it there and it worked for me. Just wanted to share with you and Sammy J. what worked for me every time. First time watching your video - you are very fortunate in America to be able to go out and collect stuff people wastefully throw away and on-sell it, that doesn't happen here in my small town area but in the larger cities it happens but they are too far away for us to just get up and travel because of the cost of petrol and the distance would take about 4-5 hours. Thank you both for sharing.

I was waiting for you to grab the Allen Bike rack right underneath the bicycle. I just paid $36 on Offer Up for a 2 bike rack. All of the stores were out of them. I'm so intrigued watching your curb alerts. You can tell you really appreciate the antique furniture and the older model electronics. It's so much better for it to go to a good home rather than end up in a landfill. Keep doing what you're doing. Sammy always looks cute, from her hats all the way down to her boots! Be safe.

Just started watching the both of you tonight. Your advice and testimonial means a lot, everybody suffers from something and needs a little help from each other to get through things or to do something that makes them happy to relieve their mind. It's been a hard year for everyone and we have to create a new normal. So keep up the good work and do what works best for you and thank you for your advice no one should be made to feel like they're being abnormal or trying to do something different with their lives right now and not being scared to try new things. I've enjoyed your channel.

The world needs more people like yawl! Life can be a fight, a struggle sometimes. I am glad that you both have a common interest that you can share that brings in some extra cash. Keep on keeping on!
