THIS IS A REUPLOAD, LET ME EXPLAIN: So my previous video covering Massacre at the Mirage got age restricted for 'Inappropriate Language' which I instsntly knew was an incorrect claim made against this video. You guys know I'm sure by this point that I don't cuss and I ALSO go out of my way to censor my videos. Accidents can happen with KZbin incorrectly flagging videos as 18+, so I disputed it thinking they'd see this. Within literally 2 minutes, my appeal was rejected so I know for a FACT that no human has actually spent any time to even check over the video. After you dispute an age restriction once, that's it. You can't dispute it again and the video is forever stuck with the 18+ rating. I asked KZbin on Twitter for help and they ended up ghosting me, so I decided to re-upload the video with zero changes made and THEY APPROVED THE VIDEO AS BEING FINE. This is a huge problem for KZbin and it is extremely annoying why they can't do their job correctly with simple things such as what happened with the last video and instead I've had to re-uploaded an existing video just so people who previously couldn't watch now can. I apologise for the re-upload to those who have seen this video, but this was the only solution that KZbin had left for me to do. With that said, you guys can expect a 2nd upload later today, I'm not about to drop the same video twice and use it as an excuse for a day off haha!

The sad/scary thing is all these victims were generally decently normal people. None of them were really that skeezy/deplorable for them to deserve what they had coming, even the homeless guy. There was no escape for any of these characters. The fact that they were all there at the wrong place at the wrong time makes this a horrifying story/game. The voice acting was super cheesy, but that seemed like an intentional creative process to add camp. This was a very well made horror game overall.

I definitely see what you're saying, but for me this sadly became far less scary when it was revealed the monster is some otherworldly, unhuman being, and not just a guy in a costume doing horrible things. I feel like the crazy, supernatural monster that nobody can do anything to defend themselves against is such an overdone thing in horror anymore, that it's...honestly gotten kind of boring, and almost makes the entire thing feel more cheesy. I've come to find horror sticks with me far more when it's actual people doing things that somebody in real life could actually be capable of doing. With things like this it's like, "Yeah, that's pretty brutal, but that's also not ever going to happen." That's not to say this isn't a very well done game, because it definitely is. I just personally felt it lost a lot of horror factor with the monster.

I didn't even mind when I though he was some kind of super natural ghost or something but when he killed everyone in the theater like some kind of demon I cared for the game a lot less. To me it's way more tense when there's a chance to get away or win but the people keep failing at achieve it, and or everyone but the final person(s) fails and they manage to barley get a win. Still a good game, just not for me without Ryan playing it.

@Chaos_The_Kidd Yeah, when it's literally everybody just dies, and there's no way to escape that outcome it becomes a lot less enjoyable to me. I hate it even more when a character goes through hell, and back just to get to the end, only to die, anyway. It definitely makes me feel like, "well what was the point, then?" I get that in some stories it makes more sense, but when it's all I ever see it's just like...come on, dude. I know Nikka technically doesn't die at the end of this, but she still gets screwed over even after fighting her way out. It just feels like a waste of time when they could have given her a much more bad ass moment

@@ItsHaisho Ya when it's half way through the horror movie/game and it's been confirmed/highly suggested that there's no way to stop the monster I kind of check out. If it's good I'll finish but probably never re-watch. To me top tier horror/tension comes from that chance of victory, even if within the story it never comes to pass as long as that chance exists I can be driven to the edge of my seat regardless of the outcome. But ya I get you about Nikka, I would have rather seen her mange to hold off the clown and keep blasting him until the cops show up or somthing, even if it ends with a shot of the clown back at his base after the credits showing hes not really dead.

@Chaos_The_Kidd I see what you're saying. For all of its faults, I feel like The Devil in Me pulls off what you mentioned pretty well (it's just....everything else about that game that makes it fall kind of short). It seems like the antagonist in that game is able to reincarnate, or have the, "devil" pass along to someone else somehow, but either way he's definitely supernatural in some way. But the characters can still fight back. They may not always be able to physically overpower him, but they can outsmart him, or even just outrun him. He's similar to this game in the sense that he seemingly can be pretty much everywhere at once, so there's still a tension there especially because, play it wrong, and your characters will die. I definitely think this is a much better game in terms of quality, and I did enjoy the experience while it lasted. It's just not going to truly stick with me in any way.

Hey Ryan so I have a game request for you it's called Tails noir. The game is about a private detective who is investigating a disappearance of a woman's husband any place called the bite. You end up finding out some dark secrets about what happened and what's going on. That's all I can say without spoiling the story. The game is very text-heavy but you find out Clues and investigate things to put the pieces together to find out the secrets of this city. It's a really cool game with really honestly a really good story and has some great horror elements
