@charliebelton19942 жыл бұрын
I used a 24-Hour generic gym. Found my feet like yourself and learned the fundamentals for a year. My rule of thumb was once I could shoulder press, bench and utilize the heaviest dumbell's for most workouts, I would move onto a bodybuilding style gym. Best decision I ever made! For me the likes of pure gym & 24-hour gyms are just a steppingstone for those looking to get serious, or its convenient for those who work shift work, or even just like to turn up 2/3 times a week.

Yeah 100%. Currently at a really nice 24 hour proper gym after moving from a commercial gym. The gains difference i made was insane simply from the difference in atmosphere when you walk in. You have serious people of all different stages really going for it and it inspires you to push those extra few reps each set. Cant explain it properly but those extra few reps and genuine care taken into implementing well thought out, functional machines does wonders for progression and staying consistent. Its £40 a month but still worth it tbh, if you are serious then £40 is nothing in the long run.

I went to PureGym for the first time this week after training for 6 years and I had one of the most mundane training sessions I’ve ever had. The machines felt mega tacky and like you said, struggled to get the full range of motion to satisfy me. The dumbbells feel cheap too and I hate how you can’t get the part of the bench you sit on fully flat when doing a dumbbell shoulder press. And yeah, dumbbells on the floor unracked is an eyesore. My local gym is a commercial one local to my county and it’s recently fully refurbished to the point I can say it’s one of the best gyms I’ve ever been in. Mainly because it’s fully kitted out with brand new pristine Technogym equipment and man it’s so comfortable to use and find I push myself to the brink every time. I’m fully convinced Technogym is the best brand of equipment in the game.

I think pure gym is clean and car parking is not normally an issue however the gym layout is odd....machines all over the place and most remind me of a "super market curry meal.........." - "Looks great but just something missing you can't put your finger on..." I think in the potential evolution of a bodybuilder it gives you an idea if you love it or not ....then after 6-12 months you migrate to more of an old school or modern bodybuilding gym if your lucky like an Ultraflex or iron asylum (Mold) where I train fortunately. They remind me of a good hotel gym on holiday .....not knocking them at all ...some may absolutely love them and grow / train well. ...it's all personal choice. One thing you do feel is the total lack of pump achievable on some machines as they don't adjust to fit / hit the muscle effectively which is the whole idea behind a machine (with the added bonus of being difficult to injure yourself). It's just like an Aldi with weights😂 .......Keep up the great vlogs. Be safe 🙏 Namaste 🦉 Gary
