You can get a gym membership for $20, I mean, I started working out in a playground for free.
So why are there gyms that cost thousands of dollars a year, and people are actually paying it. There is no way that's worth it, right?
So I emailed the world’s most expensive and exclusive gyms, but none of them would let me visit and film, except for one... let's see what it's all about.

Nile's perspective on the money was golden - people will not think twice about spending money on things that hurt them but will scoff at spending money on things that will help - 250/month is a lot sure but framing it in how much alcohol you drink (or other recreational consumptions) is perfect

If my liquor bill was £57/week every week, I absolutely would think twice about it. I think here the difference comes down to committing to a gym membership as opposed to buying discrete things one by one. No one signs up for “sign my contract and I will send you £250 of booze every month” do they? That said, for what this gym offers, if you are going to use a lot of the things, I don’t think 250 is bad.

Nah mate it is just a matter of options. If you can get 70% of the gym experience for 60 bucks, why pay 250 for this? If it‘s booze or this, well you can have booze and 70% of this, which is all anybody needs.

I was shocked that the price isn't so high- I was expecting higher. Equinox in NYC is $260\month. Some Crossfit gyms in NYC are $150+, so if a member really uses this gym on a consistent basis and maximizes the facilities, then it's not a crazy price

The fact that some friends of mine are paying 10k/year (aka €830/month) to be trained in tennis at the age of 14 to then retire from the sport due to stress, pain, injuries and incapacity to succede is absurd. It's not even in a professional academy. I see the £250/month totally worth it.

When I lived in LDN in 2018 my monthly fee was 250 GBP with access to all their gyms, which to be honest is NOT that much considering what they offer.

Honestly if i knew i had the constant motivation i would definitely pay it, think about the prices all seperately £25 gym membership, £25 swimming membership, ~£10 for 2hours rock climbing, if you want to go a few times a week too it works out the same price so might as well have it all in one

I am shocked that many of the items they were raving about are common in gyms such as Equinox. Check out the ones in Beverly Hills, Century City and Westwood. Also I have never seen a gym with less than 3 squat racks. 😢

You certainly don't need to be rich, or even well off to be fit & healthy. You can absolutely get in the best shape of your life without stepping foot inside a gym! For just the average person watching this for entertainment, maybe you are discovering fitness or interested in trying it, do NOT think you need to sign up for a gym like this, and that goes for all things fitness related! You don't need a trainer, a coach, nutritionist, or even a friend to show you the ropes. A gym like this is really meant for folks who have dedicated a large portion of their life to fitness, such as body building, CrossFit, trainers, marathon runners etc. AND who are also not scrambling for a paycheck. I think that's common sense, but I just wanted to make a point of it :)

Too funny, I was expecting some fancy European gym; this is my local gym. There is also a yoga room, fully equipped Pilates studio (extra fee). You can also book in the recovery Hyperice leg things, also they have Wattbikes. The rock climbing wall tier. Steam room and sauna is a game changer.
