I personally think you’re one of the greatest trainers I’ve watched. You don’t cut out the negative parts because for you it’s not about the views, but truly trying to educate. My mustang mare has a lot of holes in her training, which has caused some severe issues. She’s been pretty defiant lately (not lazy), I feel like perhaps some of it has to do with mistrust. Your videos really show what can be done when trained right. Thank you for this!

I 3 shetland ponnies for about half a year. I studies horses for over 2 years and now I need to advance and teach them to lift legs, cause they need their hoves trimed. This was encouraging. I watched the one about safety and this one. Wish me luck. I will be back on your channel soon and share how it went. Thanks for education! Yeeehaaaw

Thank you for this fantastic video! Could you tell me why she is wearing leg protectors? How old is Rosie in this video?
@HorsePerfect Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! She is wearing boots just because it protects her legs from accidents bumps and bruises that can happen during groundwork. I think She was about 11 months old if I remember correctly.

We can give Clinton Anderson some credits right:);):)
@HorsePerfect Жыл бұрын
Yes and no 🙃 Clinton packages and sells a lot of techniques and exercises that were invented by other trainers. I do use a lot of exercises from the method because they work so well! However the credit should really go to the original inventors of the exercises.

@@HorsePerfect Sorry, that was a silly question, and I just thought about it after I had already written the comment. I ought to have known better, as this is some of the very best horsemanship I've ever seen, even on KZbin! So, please, keep it up! BTW, why in Paraguay? You sound like you're from the U.S? And I'm also curious of the race(s) of horses you train. Sorry to bother you with all this, just curious. Anyways, subscribed! 🙂

@@HorsePerfect I have four Lusitanos. You are talented. You are connected with Knabstruppers in the UK. I have ridden one a lot in Germany. Same size and build as old-style Lusitanos. Nobre, Nero, and Lagar live at Morgado Lusitano, near Lisbon. Think of going there. Write to them and Rodrigo Matus to sound things out for a clinic.

Is there a reason for the boots in your training videos?
@HorsePerfect2 жыл бұрын
Yes! They protect the horses delicate tendons and bones in the front legs primarily from accidental damage from the hind legs hooves and the horse stepping on itself in the front. Also if the horse is jumping over something it just adds protection for the bones incase they accidentally hit something. Hope that makes sense 😊

@HorsePerfect Жыл бұрын
Never this young. Depending on the breed the horse could be this tall at adulthood though. 3-4 years of age before riding is a general rule.
