Anyone else tired of "city life" and is accumulating knowledge to prepare to more to the countryside?

How he got shoes ? Show that process please
@HorsePerfect3 күн бұрын
In this video he gets his hooves trimmed. But we don’t use shoes on him because he never gets ridden on paved roads. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGq2gYBsfMhgoqc

I feel like it would be less stressful for him to come at it a bit slower... 10 minutes? That's not really enough time to just fix such a sensitive problem like that

Have u roped his belly and back end while lunging looks like he's got something caught in his tail an its brushing his back leg an hes spooking doesnt look like a buck anyway
@HorsePerfect3 күн бұрын
No I only did that once earlier in his training. Yeah could be any combination of those things. The footage doesn’t do justice it was very hard to ride.

He's not ready! He has never settled in and you might as well go back to that point and start again.

How much does it hurt them to ride them?
@HorsePerfect3 күн бұрын
If you use correct fitting equipment and you ride correctly it doesn’t hurt them at all 😊🤩

I find this so educating! In fact I’m only watching this for the sake of realism in my game. Because some people in my game apply horse shoes and some don’t (they don’t even know what trimming their hooves are) and just throw a saddle and bridle over the horse and start riding them. Oh well, I guess it’s “just” a game.

I believe this horse is fearful instead of remaining calm when he’s hitting his cues. This is just my opinion that nobody asked for and nothing more. Plus that saddle is huge on him. He sure is a pretty boy.
@loncho50799 күн бұрын
I thought you did a great job of staying with it and working through his nerves. For whatever reason he got a little anxious but you showed him that you were in control and he eventually calmed down. Again, great job! 👍

5 stars !! He doesn't swish his tail whlle you're riding him, but as soon as you dismount his tail starts up again !! Interesting !?

Thank you! Interesting observation! Maybe the flies don’t bother him when he’s moving? Or he’s thinking a lot during riding?
@wayneking705015 күн бұрын
I noticed you held a short left rein gettng on and off the horse. Is that how you normally get on a horse or is that because your taking a safety measure in case the horse try's to take off? Thanks for the video.

He's definitely still green, but after 21 days of training is he still a wild horse? You obviously know best because you're with him every day, but to me he seems ready to be ridden outside the corral. I've watched those wild Mustang challenges that they have with the Bureau of Land Management in Nevada and some of those people are on those wild Mustangs and riding them in just a couple days. I know it all depends on the horse. BTW, whatever happened to that ornery little short stocky horse that you were training?
@HorsePerfect14 күн бұрын
Haha I can’t wait for you to see what happens in the next episode 😅 Yes normally I would ride a horse in the first few days of training recently rode one on day 2. He’s just a different horse and he’s wild to his bones! 😅 The tiny stocky one was for a client and I think he’s since been sold 😊

If my horse acts aggressive in the corner do I just back off?
@HorsePerfect18 күн бұрын
Horses have a flight fight response so if they can’t run they can want to fight. Typically if they are showing signs of aggression slowing down and being really careful how you approach them can help! Definitely watch this video also it may help you perfect your approach kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKfFhWpnoZJjgpIsi=Cxdjw4S3B_1Xmbys

The horse is not balanced enough with your additional weight to canter. Too soon for that . Good job staying safe though!
