i don't think phil being a good coach is relevant here. here, they are talking about how phil would also do the slightly more selfish thing that is joining a talented team instead of a friend's team.

Steve Kerr is an absolute class act. Amazing coach, got the absolute most out of Steph, Klay, and Dray (and possibly the young guys, time will tell) but always credits the talent around him. Yes he came into a great situation, but like I said earlier, he got the most out of that team and there have been lots of coaches who have failed to win with talent around them. Also, he made Draymond Green a multiple time all star. Hall of Fame coach without a doubt.

Lol! Mark Jackson had two future NBA 3 point shot record holders, four future HOF members, and an NBA AVERAGE offense making the fewest passes in the NBA and having Curry take lots of long two point shots. Jackson had them playing great defense, but his offense was a travesty.
@JasonWalkerJamaica
@JasonWalkerJamaica 6 ай бұрын
@@ninerempire3398yes he fought for them, as a matter of fact because he fought for them was the beginning of bad blood between Jackson & the Warriors. The Warriors always wanted Monte Ellis to start, Steph to come off the bench (especially because they had no faith in his ankles) and Klay they might have traded. Green was to come off the bench behind Bogut. Jackson had to fight to change that plan.

@@Johnny-xj5qu It more so his faith, he was also a pastor and that conflicted with his coaching and their vision, per management. He's the only coach in recent memory that got fired for doing a great job. Jackson, after leading the team to consecutive playoff berths for the first time in more than two decades, hasn’t received another coaching opportunity since then because he is being blackballed by the league’s owners. Had nothing to do with analytics lol, his team shot the three, that's all analytics show in the NBA today.
