That Game 5 where LeBron and Kyrie both had 41 points might be the greatest duo performance I've ever seen in a live NBA Finals game. They were just automatic from the field and Kyrie truly couldn't miss and I'll never forget the pivot shot he made over Klay because of how elite the defense Klay was playing on him. Warriors Cavs 2016 literally came down to the last minute. After 82 games, in game 7 of the NBA finals...both teams tied at 1 minute left. Absolutely incredible, pure magic, pure competition, legendary moment. Say what you want about Lebron, but what he did in that NBA finals is the best performance of any basketball player for a single series in the history of the game. @@kadenpersaud OP said 'most complete' basketball player, and I agree. He could do anything and one of the finals lead every statistical category. He could guard 1 through 5, while simultaneously leading his team in scoring, assists, and rebounds. He could play fast in transition, he could make threes, he could post up. He could gaurd the perimeter, he could protect the rim. Whatever needed done, he could do. The best Swiss Army knife the league has ever seen. That Game 5 from Bron and Kyrie still seems impossible to thus day. Kyrie shot 72%. Bron was at 60% And the very next game, Bron drops an even more efficient 41 Points when Draymond came back. Since 2016, the only competitive finals we got was Bucks vs Suns in 2021
@smoothsavage2870

The 2021 finals wasn't really competitive either. Two of the Suns core players (Ayton and Booker) had never seen the playoffs until that season and immediately ended up in the finals with no experience. CP3 lifted that team immensely, but he's not enough to carry a team with that much inexperience to a championship. It would've been competitive if the overachieving Hawks made it there instead of the Bucks.

2016 NBA season was one of those i’ll never forget. GWS run the record, Kobe gave the fuckin 61 in his last game. Game 6 Klay, Cavs come back from 3-1 lead in final. The 2016 Cavs was not just Bron and Kyrie, the whole team played it nicely. Hardshot JR, Kevin send some Love in the air, Tristan still done his work nicely. It’s been 6 years since that time, the world and the NBA has changed alot. We has growth older guys, times flies 😊. Still remember it like yesterday, enjoy as much as you can when watchin guys like Bron , Steph. Hope you guys still had the fire for basketball like those young days even how much like fucked you up. Sorry this is late. If you think about it that kind of could’ve happened. The Knicks missed Steph by 1 pick in the 2009 draft (imagine if instead the warriors got Demar [who is still a beast in his own right] or someone else). The Knicks was also a potential landing spot for Lebron when he went into free agency before the start of the 2010-2011 season. And Amar’e went to the Knicks in 2010. So imagine Lebron, Steph, Amar’e Stoudemire, and later Tyson Chandler (and maybe Melo if he decided to go). I don’t know how the chemistry would’ve gone since that plays a factor, but on paper it’s understandable to conclude that this team would’ve been one of the most dangerous teams in NBA history in the long run.

I've been watching the NBA since 1986.I've seen many NBA Finals, and I have to say,the 2016 Finals is definitely up there as one of the greatest finals series in Sports History not just the NBA.That was such a rollercoaster ride!! It was like just when you thought Cleveland was done.....Boyyyyy did they roar back into that series in dramatic fashion. The response to the Warriors with a monster rally of offense and defense those last 3 games by the Cavs was a sight to see.The energy was infectious. Man that was some fun basketball to watch.The Crowds felt like the old school 90s crowds in both arenas. Til this day,I still revisit that series on KZbin for the last 9minutes of Game 7 just for the nostalgia of it. 2016 overall was just a really good year period.What a time to be alive man. 💯💯🔥🔥
