@bartmcdowell8349 Should take up karate or judo, or both. My dad and I spar lightly and I've learned a lot more at 25 from him than I ever did from wrestling. I suppose the one thing I got from wrestling is to grind and also know your limits and go over those limits just a bit.

Glad you got to come to my home town. I was there all of day 1. Not sure how many teams were there that day but I lost count around 40 something. Every 10 minutes I’d see another college/team shirt that I didn’t see before. Saw you there. You seemed very focused and somewhat nervous at times walking around 15 minutes prior to your 3rd match. Even though quite a few of you guys had byes in the first round, it was nice seeing almost all the the rangers come out victorious in the first few matches. Anyways it was great to see you compete live.

You should think about doing some judo training after college, if your schedule allows it. I feel like, as a former wrestler myself who also did karate on the side in HS, judo gave me so much valuable information and strategy into Martial Arts and what you can do with them and how it can really help the other stuff you are already good it. You could mix certain good judo foot sweeps into wrestling. Granted, there's no real scramble drills in judo and depending on the teacher, they might make you feel uncomfortable at first because a lot of the chokes and armbars we do are from our back or in side control so it can be a while to be comfortable with the change.
