I absolutely hate cancer. My grandad died on boxing day after losing his fight with prostate cancer. My dad spent all day in hospital with him on christmas day, its like he used all the willpower and determination he had left on christmas day and eventually gave in on boxing day, as if he didnt want to feel like he'd ruined christmas day. Been listening to this since February. Bout 10 days before my 21 birthday, I lost both my grandfather and grandmother 32 hours apart. My grandfather got his 21 gun salute. Even tho he died back home, minutes after he had passed he showed up at my work just feet away from me and I didn’t realize it at the time when I was working overnight. A younger version of my grandmother showed up for a quick second in one of the windows sitting down with the most beautiful smile on her face the night after she died and when I was crying so hard just a few hours prior to my grandmother showing up, I was yelling out loud that I really needed to hear them say I love you one more time and told God I really needed to hear it and lo and behold, at about 4:30 I was making my rounds in the elevator and kinda how the spirits in movies talk, my grandfather told me “I love you,” and I just broke down when I realized it was his voice and it was coming from above. I was so glad he got to tell me that. A month after that I had a very vivid dream and I know it wasn’t just any dream and I know it wasn’t just me missing them and they showed up in my dream. I was sitting on my bed and my paw paw and ganny walked in my room and sat down next to me and I got to ask them word for word real life questions on what I actually wanted to ask them after they passed. I can’t call and talk to them just about everyday like I used to. Hearing new country songs I know they would like that I can’t show them anymore just tears me apart. In a weird way, I do know God works in mysterious ways and maybe it was Him saying in a way, “Its they’re time to come home and at the same time I’m doing this so you and Taylor (my cousin that I’m really close with and look to as my sister) can be stronger.” It’s made me realize God needs me to bring people to him through law enforcement so I’m going into the Florida Highway Patrol academy this year and my sister just got accepted to the medical field classes at a hospital back home. We know we’re making our grandparents, God and our family proud

My grandpa passed away today...I’m sad like anything. He loved me so much. He was admitted and had diabetes as well as corona. It was like 10:45pm and he was talking to my grandma and parents happily. At 2:00am, my mom got a call that he’s no more..my parents went to the hospital and found out that the oxygen bottle was over and no doctor noticed..if someone would have noticed, he would be safe..!!
