@@SonOfIzalith Nah, it's actually easy to discern and hit the correct notes depending on your vocal range as long as you're not tone-deaf. She's lucky she has a wide vocal range tho. If you have a smaller vocal range, it can be tough but it does improve with the right techniques and enough practice (which can take years ngl). Also, your vocal tone/quality matters too. I personally can hit the right notes as long as they're within my range even though I don't have any sort of vocal training besides singing karaoke and pretending I'm a kpop idol lol. I do listen to tons of music and try to figure out how to do it but I don't have a beautiful tone, so I do sound bad at times. If you're tone-deaf, then that's a whole other issue and the journey would be like 10x harder.

Your "day 1" was already a very, very solid foundation that most people don't have. I know this was meant to be encouraging - "Hey, anybody can do it!" - but this is like watching somebody who's 5'10", weighs 160 lbs, start going to the gym and post about how "see? anybody can get in shape!"
@siddhigupta93936 ай бұрын
Hey! I agree with you... But I think we can also take this in a more optimistic way. Rather focusing from where she started, it would be better to note the DIFFERENCE bw where she started and where she ended. That was a major difference in 1 month. Maybe it would take someone not as good as her like 1-2 months to make the foundation like hers and then proceed.
@iankinzel6 ай бұрын
@@siddhigupta9393 Maybe - but at the same time, it's often a lot harder to progress if you have no idea what you need to be doing. The amount of growth she achieved here may not be realistic for a lot of beginners, because that growth is fueled by her pre-existing skillset.
@gghelis3 ай бұрын
Well, in one month you probably won't be as good as she did, but you'd still be much better than you are right now. Noone said everyone can become an Ailee-class vocalist, but gaining reasonable control of your voice in one month, give or take, is absolutely achievable.

Yea, it'd be quite annoying to waste 20 minutes because the basic requirement (to show HOW you progressed) wasn't shown. Glad I fast forwarded! Also I'm not denying this girl can't sing, because right from the warm up in the beginning (3rd lesson) I could tell she had a nice voice and tone (even vibrato) so the end result was quite underwhelming because all I could hear was how processed and auto tuned it was! not sure if anyone felt the same. So it doesn't answer the initial question of whether ANYONE could learn how to sing

I’ve always had this question when it comes to music: when can I say: “I am a singer/guitarist/drummer, etc” ? I once met a “drummer” and he asked me if I knew how to play the drums. I said yes. I played a basic beat that wasn’t from any specific song. He asked if I knew any songs , but I said no. He said: Oh I thought you actually knew how to play the drums, I thought you were actually a drummer.” If it’s about being a doctor, I get that you a need a degree to say you are one. But singing? My question is: When can you say that you are a singer? Just a thought. Anywho, I enjoyed the video Kize. It’s great to see that this skill isn’t entirely tied into a unique talent, rather a skill that can be developed through time! 🔥👏🏼
@cashmcelz2 жыл бұрын
Drums are weird because learning songs isn't the same as it is for melodic instruments. Some songs on the drums are nearly identical. For drums it is about learning grooves/fills/rudiments/patterns rather than simply songs, especially because drumming is very improvisatory. As a pretty good drummer I don't know many songs but I could play most songs after hearing them because of my knowledge and skills on the drums. In my mind the drums are not an instrument where one focuses on having a large repertoire.

I started singing when I was 3 years old, ten years after ( yes I’m 13 ) I’m here, singing more than before, but that doesn’t mean a singing class should ne useless ! I started singing classes two years ago and my voice was going better and better every month ! You should trust your voice like you should trust you ! I know it’s going to be long, I know it’s going to ne hard ( yeah I’m a 13 French girl talking but still ) you can do it, it’s like workouts, they are doing nothing in 1 week but if you do it everyday for like 1 year, you’ll see something changing !
