A soldier said the border fence was broken in two places so it was easy for terrorist neighbors to enter. Israelis mistook the smiles of their terrorist/barbarian neighbors for friendliness. Israelis believed the outward behaviour of the moslems they saw was what moslems really felt. If Israelis saw smiling employees that meant they were friendly and happy. But just because neighboring moslems worked in kibbutzim and put on a happy face didn't mean they were genuinely friendly toward their employers even though they may have acted well to keep their jobs. Deception is enshrined in Islam in taqqiya which is cheating and tricking for the bigger cause of spreading and enforcing Islam. These moslem workers that Israelis thought were friends memorized the layouts of different kibbutzim to facilitate killing and looting at a later date not much different from the 7th century.
