Exactly. The lady said that Chabad is unwelcoming of children of Intermarriage and this is not true. I'm a product of Intermarriage and I can't convert because I married a Non Jew being raised among them. I'm a Noahide and there are things that are simply not for me to do but I'm never unwelcome. I can't observe Shabbos but I am encouraged to attend the Chanukah Menorah parade. Its about purpose not exclusion

I'm Jewish and my wife is converting. Our Rabbi is from Israel and is Chabad. He moved to the Philippines about a year ago. We have both been totally blown away by how helpful and friendly he has been. I Chabad, there is huge emphasis on loving every Jew. On serving HaShem with joy and on never using our words to hurt or destroy others. I'm thankful every single day that we are involved with Chabad. Chabad makes me want to do all I can to please G-d and draw closer to Him.

it makes sense I was pulled by the spirit to Chabad tho I am extremely reform socialist liberal. Id socialize every last thing in existence lmao. and im "insane radical" social progressive to much of the world. But it is the very heart of loving not just every jew, but every spirit on the world that Drives those forces in me. (At least loving them to the point til other spirits and YHWH herself gets involved n decides to cut the cords lol) Your second little paragraph is fantastic :) The emphasis on One Love (in a John Lennon kind of sense) and always trying to do and say all you do out of Love. :) Nails my inner soul.

I was born as a secular Jew now at 70 I have been taken under the wing of Rabbi Shlomo of the Chabad of the North at Umhlanga Rocks just north of Durban South Africa after 20 years of attempting to find my way back to Judaism. I believe the negative comments made were false and were made by people who did not know Chabad at all. My experiences have been quite the opposite if it was not for Chabad I would never have found my way back to Judaism.

I daven in a Chabad shul and been doing it for many years. I do not accept the late Rebbe as Messiah and no one in Chabad gives me a hard time about it. I do not dress in the Chabad style and no one tries to get me to do otherwise. I know that if I travel and I need help, a place to daven, a seder, whatever...I can go to a Chabad house and they will help me. There is nothing wrong in getting Jews back to their roots and connecting with God. As far as Rabbi Halbertal is concerned, he is wrong and this is not first time he has been meanspirited with things he does not like. I find him a very unpleasant person.

In defence of Chabad, they welcome intermarried married Jews and their children with no questions at all to join Shabbat or festival services. In a fast-paced world where nothing ever seems to stay the same, Chabad is very often the only community-based pillar of strength for 100's of thousands of Jews living away from home. Before you judge, go and visit.

Chabad does not missionize, there's no coercion whatsoever. If you're a Jew & you want to learn more about Judaism or connect with tradition, they will help without asking for any commitment, financial or otherwise. Regarding being anti-Zionist some Haredim (ultra-orthodox) believe the state of Israel should only be reestablished when the Messiah comes. However I have Chassidic friends who are followers of Chabad who serve in the IDF. Chabad is not anti-Zionist.
@davidschalit907
@davidschalit907 Жыл бұрын
I suggest you study the history of Chabad. They were NOT Zionist, nor are they officially so today. There formed an element in Orthodoxy that was non-Zionist. Chabad went from anti-Zionist to a more non-Zionist view. They don't publicize it because it doesn't jive with their outreach. Most of their followers don't know about this nuance. Leaving that aside, their Messianisim is very problematic. It is outside normative Judaism, especially since their Rebbe died. And they have a splintering in their movement, contrary to the moderator in this video. There are those among them who believe the Rebbe is still the Messiah even though he is dead. Some of them don't even believe that he is really dead. All of that is very much like early Christianity. Some of them hide their belief in him as the Messiah, hoping that he might still be the Messiah despite being dead. This view represents about 1/2 of Chabad, and is the more establishment view among them. However, this also is outside normative Judaism. Only a small segment states openly that the late Rebbe isn't the Messiah. And they are a tiny element. There is even one element that believes that the Rebbe is not only the Messiah, but somehow part of God incarnate. One of that element tried to kill the chief Chabad Rabbi of Safad, Israel a decade or more ago because that Rabbi was ONLY a regular Messianic Chabad follower. Read 'The Rebbe, the Messiah and the scandal of Orthodox Indifference', by Doctor & Rabbi David Berger.

I'm Jewish and a Chabad Rabbi came to me literally G*d-sent. His family has held various events to bring Jews together (very few of us where I live). I am very thankful my life has been blessed with someone to help guide me back to Judaism and begin the Mitzvahs again daily. The criticism I hear here sounds ridiculous. Chabad DID rescue judaism. So many of us Soviet kidd were raised by parents who were raised by Holocaust survivors and were not lucky enough to be brought up Jewish. I find it truly soul-fulfilling that the Chabad movement has reached my family and I. Paganism? Read some of the works of the Rebbe Menahem Mendel. He always speaks of Israel as being the safest place for Jews. This is misinformation at the worst kind. No one thinks the Rebbe is Messiah. All you are speaking sounds like from someone who knows nothing and speaks a lot. Rebbe Schneerson was not the founder. He was the 7th Rebbe. This is quite subjective in a certain way. The openess of Chabad is amazing. At least my experience,they have welcomed all Jewish or non. This was a blasphemist video. Thank you to the one person speaking up and correcting the falsehood spread by this 'Dr. Whatever'. Questioning the validity of his degree by his manner of speaking.

I think what Rabbi Boteach got wrong is that the opposition was not against the outreach they do. They are against the ideology and philosophy of chabad which puts a big emphasis on their rebbe and chabad in fact followed many tactics that cults have used, in other words charlatanism. Notice how Rabbi Boteach was insulting Rabbi Abertal while Rabbi Abertal was arguing the philosophy and ideology of chabad. I think the way Rabbi Boteach debated was extremely childish.

@@Bbq-Master There can’t be a rebbe now, but chabad is growing so I think it’s okay. The official belief about Moshiach is that he will be the nasi of his generation. So obviously that should have been the Rebbe. (And for the previous generation, it should have been the previous rebbe…). But he died, so we’ll have to see what happens… in the meantime we all know our duty.

We want Messiah now Daniel 10:21 “But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.” Daniel 10:13-14 “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.” Daniel 12:1-3 “At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.

I believe verse 18 & 19 is talking about those who came at Pentecost (Acts 2:5; 2:8-11) and the sign was tongues of fire (Act 2:3). Then Jesus sends some of the saved ones to the nations, showing His glory among the Gentiles. They shall return from all the nations as an offering to the mountain of His holiness in Jerusalem, as the children of Israel bring a meal offering {symbol of God’s healing power} in a pure vessel to the house of LORD JEHOVAH. Taking some also for Priests and for Levites. Then it confirms Rev. 21:1 and Rev. 20:9,10 And I [Yeshua - LORD JEHOVAH] know their works and their thoughts when I have come to gather all the nations and tongues. And they shall come and they shall see my glory 19And I shall set among them a sign [tongues of fire - Acts 2:3) and I shall send some of the saved ones to the nations, to Tarshish and to Pul and to Lud, who draw a bow, and to Tubil and to Yavan and to the distant islands who have not heard my name and have not seen my glory, and they shall show my glory among the Gentiles 20And they shall bring all of your brethren from all of the nations as an offering to LORD JEHOVAH, on horses and in chariots and in Roman two horse chariots to the mountain of my holiness in Jerusalem, says LORD JEHOVAH, as the children of Israel bring a meal offering [symbol of God’s healing power - 2 Kings 4:38-41] in a pure vessel to the house of LORD JEHOVAH 21Also I shall take some of them for Priests and for Levites, says LORD JEHOVAH 22As the New Heavens and New Earth that I make, that remain before me, says LORD JEHOVAH, so your seed and your name shall be established 23And it shall be from the time of month to month and from the time of Sabbath to Sabbath, everybody shall come to worship before me, says LORD JEHOVAH 24And they shall come out and they shall see the corpses of the men, they who have done evil against me, for their worm does not die and their fire is not put out, and they shall be a wonder to everybody. Isa. 66:18-24 Aramaic But there were men dwelling in Jerusalem who were worshipers of God, Jews from every nation under Heaven. Acts 2:5 Aramaic “How are we hearing, everyone, his own dialect in which we were born?” 9“Parthians and Medes and Elanites, and those who dwell in Bayth- Nahrayn, Judeans and Qapodoqians and those who are from the regions of Pontus and of Asia,” 10“And from the regions of Phrygia and of Pamphylia and of Egypt and of the countries of Libya which are near to Cyrene and those who came from Rome, Jews and proselytes”, 11“And who are from Crete, and Arabians, behold, we are hearing from those who are speaking in our own dialects, the wonders of God.” Acts 2:8-11 Aramaic And tongues like fire that were divided appeared to them, and they sat on each one of them Acts 2:3 Aramaic Elisha came back to Gilgal during a famine in the land. The sons of the prophets were sitting before him, and he said to his servant, Set on the big pot and cook pottage for the sons of the prophets. Then one went into the field to gather herbs and gathered from a wild vine his lap full of wild gourds, and returned and cut them up into the pot of pottage, for they were unknown to them. So they poured it out for the men to eat. But as they ate of the pottage, they cried out, O man of God, there is death in the pot! And they could not eat it. But he said, Bring meal [as a symbol of God’s healing power]. And he cast it into the pot and said, Pour it out for the people that they may eat. Then there was no harm in the pot. (2 Kings 4:38-41 Amplified) And I saw new Heavens and a new Earth, for the former Heavens and the former Earth had departed, and the Sea was no more. Rev. 21:1 Aramaic And they went to war upon an open place of The Earth and surrounded the city of the camp of The Holy People [Those who walk in the Way - Isa. 35:8; John 14:6; 1 Peter 1:16 Aramaic] and of The Beloved City [Jerusalem], and fire descended from Heaven from God and consumed them. 10And their Seducer, The Devil, was cast into The Lake of Fire and Brimstone where The Beast and The False Prophet are, and they shall be tormented day and night for the eternity of eternities. Rev. 20:9,10 Aramaic
